Hi Dan, I have to thank you because my brain finally understood this information. Suddenly about a week ago I thought, "But why do I keep putting creams on, I don't have a physical problem. They don't do any good, my body is already fine." I had real awareness of what it meant, it wasn't just my rational brain saying that. My pain within a few hours went from a steady 6 to 1. I am still fine, better than I have ever been. I will continue on this path.

I've had another breakthrough 🙂! Yesterday I was out with my aunt and she asked how the back pain was. I just said to her there was nothing physically wrong with my back, it flares up when I'm stressed and anxious so it's not a physical problem. I asked her how she was because she has had a bad foot, she said the foot was fine but the pain had moved to some other place! I said that there is often a link between our thoughts and body pain, she said she felt there was a lot of truth in that 😁. It's good to plant a seed. So, today I've noticed, the pain that has been shooting in my lower back is no longer shooting when I stand up, it's a lot milder. I'm very happy about this. Thank you for your daily videos, this one makes a lot of sense too.

Thank you so much, Dan! I was so proud of myself..yesterday we helped our son & family move into their new home. I was physical for like 7 hours. I carried pretty light boxes, helped put dishes, food, etc. away even though I was in pain. I used your techniques to help me physically & mentally get through the sensations reassuring myself that I was safe, I wasn’t broken,etc. It’s really helping me. Thank you so much for all of your content which helps me so much get on and live my life! Thankful for you

Great reminder Dan! The past 18 years I was always on the road with my pain tablets.. in every handbag I had my pills 💊 in case the pain got out of control. Since a few months I consciously don’t take them with me. If the pain hinders me,i go to the safety you teached me and it works ! Painkillers are nearly for free here in France.. there is so much abuse.. Also I don’t panic if by mistake I took a handbag where I forgot to put them, as I did in the past.. My husband thinks that’s a massive step forward !💕 Slowly but steadily moving forward ! I used to be ‘quick ‘ in everything, not even aware of the present ! When my husband asked me something : I always said: I do it within a second and rushed, rushed.. Now he laughs with me when I tell him : ok, within an hour I will try to do it.. That slowing down will be my long term ‘remedy ‘to get my brain to feel safe again! Have a great Sunday ! 31degrees here, fall can wait too😜

❤love this video! You hit the nail on the head for me. I take small cold packs for my back wherever I go and get panicky if I forget to put one in my purse. I am constantly sending messages of fear to my brain. Also doing the same with creams like Bio- Freeze. Use it every time I get a twinge of back pain. Omg, what an eye opener Dan. Thank you again!! You are an angel for what you do!

I was actually relieved to give up all my “fixing” tools and techniques and I tried sooo many and you’re right Dan none of them actually worked they just gave my hyper vigilant brain the message I was broken, that something was wrong. It took me a while to give them all up (it was quite addictive all that checking in) Although doing nothing during a flare up seems counterintuitive it’s really helped me and it’s a hell of a lot cheaper 😂 less is definitely more to give yourself messages of safety. Great video Dan.

Hi Dan... I woke up today & had no plans to do anything the brain might consider dangerous at all. And the whole day the pain has been greater than most other days. I've had days that I've done much more physical work & didn't have pain like this today..what gives? Thank you!
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou Жыл бұрын
Not all perceived danger is in the conscious mind. Sometimes there may be things outside of our awareness that can create the pain. Our response to that can absolutely determine if the pain subsides or continues to get worse. What was your response when you woke up and noticed the pain? Was there much focus on it and fear? Trying to figure out what was going? How quickly did you go to reassuring yourself that you are actually okay and tell the brain to settle down?

I don't have a vehicle at the moment, so all my errands are done on a bicycle. Was supposed to rain here in Chicago. As I was preparing to hop on the bike, I felt a drop of water on my leg. I was like, oh no! There goes my trip! Well, didn't rain and hasn't rained all day. Turns out, I convinced myself that I felt that drop on my leg! No other explanation. Also, I don't dare try to enjoy this three-day weekend, because my brain is telling me something bad always happens.

One thing I must disagree with. Personal care products are not toxic. Man has been using things on their skin since well man became man. Animals put things on their skin to protect it. Red ocher is found in prehistoric graves. That is basically rust.
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou Жыл бұрын
Look at the artificial chemical ingredients in MOST of the personal care products out there. Some are quite toxic while others are not. I'm good with natural ingredients. If it was made in a lab and I cannot pronounce the ingredient list, I try to stay away.
@Inge508
@Inge508 Жыл бұрын
My grandma used to say: all personal care things that have unpronounceable names in it, are bad for humans! Due to the technical evolution, lots of those products have lost their natural components which makes them often toxic to people..They are chemically mimicked so often now. Even when a label says ; natural flavors it’s not, it’s a chemical.
