@@chrisking6695 When I was starting out on guitar in 2015 I was really inspired and learned a lot from Marty's technique (I wouldn't call it studying, formally). I don't try to be him, I just keep the technique I learned and that helped me so much. I listen to many other musicians and styles, but as I only posted Marty covers around here

Thanks, man. All covers I recorded, I learned by ear. At first, I listen tthe music a lot before learning it and mentally I'm already imagining how I could play. Then I try to find the notes that Marty uses (I don't think there's a secret for that, you need to have a good ear but practice helps you notice the intervals and the right times to bend) and build the way to play the music over time. In the very fast solo parts I usually slow down the song to find the notes more calmly
