Yay for 2020!!! And - "professional" photos are nice, but clear photos that show food that is from a "real" home kitchen also says a lot to everyday people.
@cassieoz17024 жыл бұрын
Oh yes. I like pics of 'real food'. Also love that you show the internal texture of things like buns or chaffles. Too many keto sites show you the pretty outsides but, if they don't show me the inside, I assume it's likely solid and stodgy.

Just some feedback from 1 viewer?: Do not change anything about your recipe videos. They are perfect to me. I subscribed because your recipe videos are short and on topic to your description, to the point *thumbs up* I've made more recipes learned from serious keto than any other youtuber for that reason. The Video podcast are fun and I like too, I guess what I'm saying is always keep them separated

I really like the idea of the app and I think it would be very beneficial to all of us who try to find ways to ketofy normal recipes. As for the Anthony's link, personally it doesn't help me. I drive close to 500 miles a day so I have access to tons of different stores and when I need something I can usually find it rather than ordering. I only order things if I absolutely cant find it anywhere else. On the channel, I definitely dont want to lose the opportunity to watch it. There are A LOT of channels I watch at times and really enjoy, but yours is the only one I actually contribute to. Something about the way you do things and your honesty has earned it, and is 100% worth it to me.

Another fantastic podcast! Great news about being able to continue with your channel. The recipes you convert and the time you put into getting it just right definitely shows...of all the keto cooking channels I watch, you’re the best with ketofying a recipe by far. Another thing you mentioned in this podcast is working on a cookbook in the future and possibly using viewer submitted photos of your recipes, if and when you do start doing this, I’ll be happy to submit photos if you need some. I’ve been a photographer for over 20 yrs (mostly land/seascaptes though) but have also done product/food photography. Keep up the great work!

Love your channel. I am always tweaking recipes or Keto-fying them. Your chaffle comparison video got me through my early days of keto because you showed me a version that tasted great. This got me to go back to doing what I did with all "regular" recipes, I "doctor" them. So now I doctor my favorite recipes to be Keto friendly. (I'm sure that it was a "duh" moment, but I was so focused on just eating Keto that I lost sight of my ability to improvise. Now I improvise with keto ingredients.) Thank you!

While I got you here. Does culantro grow best in heat and sun or cool and shade?
@belizeguy4 жыл бұрын
Cilantro is an awesome garden plant, but if it is too hot and too sunny, I find it goes to seed very fast. Mulch it to keep its feet cooler. Often I will plant a box full and start a second box as soon as the plants get more than 8 inches tall. Nothing like fresh!

Absolutely LOVE watching all your videos. You are such a crack up... I'm often in stitches listening. I love how much effort you put into this channel. Your content is deliberate and well thought out. In that way, it just doesn't compare to so many keto channels out there that seem to be cranking out any old random content or videos filled with 5 minutes of endorsements for products, as if they and their content are owned and dictated by a corporation. (kinda like pharmaceutical companies controlling doctors, nutrition recommendations etc). Personally I'd rather buy the Anthony's products on Amazon where I can often bundle with other subscribe and save items for 10-15% off even the Amazon prices. Great ideas for an app. And I'll buy your cookbooks in a heartbeat as well. When you talked about viewers issuing commands, I could hear my 4 year old granddaughter after she's been around the cousins... I like Green Bay fans the best. I won’t say who the worst fans are, but they have the same colors as bumble bees 😂

The people who list their allergies or personal preferences on why they don’t like a recipe or ingredient bug me. I think I may have been guilty of this on occasion so I’m not perfect but trying to do better. Love your channel Steve, you’re doing a great job. Always like seeing your offspring and grandson in your videos too.

I think a lot of how I feel depends on how something is phrased. If someone says, "This looks great, but I'm allergic to peanuts so I can't use lupin flour. Is there something I could subsitute?" I'm happy to help. If someone says, "You lost me at coconut flour" or "COCONUT FLOUR???? THIS IS A NO-GO!!!", I'm probably moving right past that one. 😄 I'll try and get some family into a video I'm recording today.

I see and hear comments similar to yours from other keto sights. Yes there are those who are the rudest of rude. You won’t be able to stop that. Don’t let those folks derail what you want to achieve with your channel. Just keep going, be positive and your channel will grow. I think you’ve got what it takes! 😉

I should say why I watch your podcasts. Of course to get some tips and suggestions as to how to keep on the keto straight and narrow. The other reason is that you are very entertaining. I too have a load of cookbooks. Probably too many. I have done some ketofying but only at the level of easy substitutions. I would find a list of suitable substitutes useful. If I was tempted by a recipe calling for a complicated substitution I would probably just cook it as written and treat myself.

All of the things you find annoying are legit. One of the things I wish KZbin had for recipe channels is a dual comment system. One area to post feedback if a person has actually made the recipe would be helpful to discover how people really liked it (a true endorsement) or note any problems or challenges they had making it (real feedback) separated from another comment section for the folks that just say "That looks good" but never make it. Wishful thinking. And - Ketofy is definitely a word I use frequently when looking at recipes. Thanks for your wonderful content.

I appreciate your honesty on the struggles of running this business alone. I am also a one woman show so I totally understand having to learn 20 different jobs. Instead of learning Adobe programs for your e-book, look into Affinity Publisher. Professional but WAY cheaper, one time fee. Just thought I'd let you know :-)

You're the second person to tell me that. I'll look into it. Thanks! 🙂

@@SeriousKeto You're welcome! Also, as someone who sells on Amazon, I just wanted to mention that FBA shipping is insanely cheap, so it's possible that the Anthony's website is more expensive because their fulfillment cost is higher. I pay double (or more) to ship product from my house, as opposed to Amazon fulfillment. :-)

We love your recipes, appreciate your honesty and integrity but mostly it's that you speak to us as adults 😁. I had a huge collection of cookbooks before we downsized and moved to the farm but I sold almost all of them. Add keto to that change, and I almost never use recipes any more (apart from infrequent baking). I get ideas but rarely follow recipes these days

My hubby and kids let me know if they've added to our Amazon cart. At the end of the day, I go to your KZbin channel and click your affiliate link before purchasing. We buy a lot on Amazon. Thanks for the great work you're doing. You're awesome!

Serious Keto - Does that work even when not purchasing something from your links? If so, you could have totally retired by now from my purchases. (Just moved from San Diego to Pittsburgh, bought a small house, but all my stuff is still at my San Diego home. - long story - Therefore, I have started from scratch here at my new home and the local post office has had to hire more carriers.)🤣😂

Oh, P.S. I’m still buying stuff, so I can help if that’s true.

@@nadogrl Yes, it's true. Steve said that if you click the link to his Amazon store, he gets credit for anything you buy (whether or not you buy from his store) within 24 hours.

I would let people just buy from Amazon if Anthony's isn't willing to work with you. Believe me, your channel is growing rapidly and you produce EXCELLENT, much-needed content for one of the fastest-growing markets right now, and companies will be falling over themselves to be promoted by you in the future; they'll be very quick to respond positively to your ideas for cross-promotion. Carry on, because this audience loves you.

Thankyou for another great podcast! I like the app idea...I keto-fy some of my savoury recipes and like you, have about as many cookbooks (I have my go-to favs tho) and magazine clippings....Went thru them all also, but since hubby eats non-keto sweets and eats starches, I have to keep most of recipes ha. I would buy from Amazon directly. And look forward to your videos.

Yes. I would like to see a ketofiability score on recipes/cookbooks. Great idea . As to the rest, I was not raised in the computer generation and I don’t even know what you’re talking about when it comes to website construction. Sorry about that. I just barely know how to get around my phone basics and always learning something new.

Anthony's: I would join their newsletter and use your links as long as they are giving money to your channel. When you say "Affiliate Partnership" I assume that means if we use your link that will get you money, so my answer would be yes.

Hi, Steve. Love your channel and it is the only keto one I currently watch. I am carnivore but hubby is keto. Love your recipes and podcasts, don't change. The all caps is annoying and hard to read. I work in electronic medical records and reading any notes or reports is horrible if the author doesn't use punctuation and paragraph breaks. Love the app idea since I rarely use a recipe as written due to added sugar or spices I don't use it have on hand. Keep up the great work and will contribute when I can.
