Sewing the Perfect Summer Skirt (and twinning with my sister!)

It's not summer until I've got a LONG list of new projects to try! (And lots of fabric that needs to be used too! lol) Today's sewing project is one that I've been envisioning for a while, but have only recently found the right pattern. Yes, I’ve been searching and searching for… the perfect skirt pattern! My skirt requirements include an A-line skirt gathered to a waistband, NO zippers, usable pockets, and elastic in AT LEAST part of the waistband! Believe it or not, this retro leaning skirt design was harder to find than I thought. Until I searched Etsy, that is! :) With the perfect skirt pattern purchased, I just needed an excuse to make it. That’s when my sister and I bought tickets to a show and decided to wear matching outfits! Could I make not only one, but TWO perfect skirts in time for the event?? :) Join me for the (somewhat panicked) sewing adventure and see for yourself! ;)
