Very nice! I also enjoyed seeing your cat. My cat died last year at age 18 1/2 years old and I miss her. Seeing your cat makes me want another one. I enjoy watching your videos.

This looks super cute. Fab fabric, and such brilliant pattern matching on the pockets. As always, your videos are inspirational. I didn’t think the York was for me, but I might try it now that you’ve described how straightforward it is to make. 😊💞

Yay, I loved this vlog for so many reasons, firstly of course great to see your button earrings and I’m so glad you liked them 😊 Secondly LOVE your York pinafore, that fabric is awesome! Lastly great tip about pattern matching your pockets, stupidly I always do my pattern matching for bags the same way but it never occurred to me to use the same method in pockets 🤦🏼♀️ Thanks for another fab video 😁xx

Love the pinafore on you and the gorgeous print is your coloring. Good tips and informative. I really love the new format and wonder how you like it. Can't wait till the next one. I'm finishing a body form, slipcover for it, artisan tunic for me, wool plaid lined vest for the husband. Also have requests in for 2 aprons, flowy wrap skirt, 2 tunics (1 linen and 1 cotton chambray) and some fun bed pillowcases for gifts. I'm almost most excited in making my grand daughter a jean jacket using her old grandpa's jeans, holes and all! Happy sewing!

Thank you for such a useful pattern review. You have totally changed my mind on this pattern so much I have just ordered it now to printing off and make up my version. All I need to do is decide which top to make to go with it. Another great Vlog.☺

One of my favourite patterns. Glad it’s worked for you! I like to do an inbetween neckline as I find the deep scoop a bit intimidating!

I’m going to do a York pinafore in the same fabric as you’ve chosen. The fabric is lovely but a lot thinner than I expected. If I lined it, would the look of the finished garment stay the same? Thanks in advance.

Lovely! If it sticks to your tights Matalan sell little half slips for £4. I bought one to go under a cord skirt for that reason x

I love this on you. Definitely would consider it now. Just made the Ivy pinafore and it’s gorgeous. A lady told me recently at a sewing day that velvet and cord should be cut so that the pile is pushed up the way when you are wearing it. Something to do with how the saturation/colour looks better in the light. She said most people assume you cut it so you can stroke it downways. I thought it was a good tip. My pattern was directional so it was that way anyway.

HI I have analyzed the Freya pattern and it seems that the armscye is cut quite low under the arm Did you adjust this or it wasn't necessary? Any adjustments to the neck? It looks great! I want the same fit :)

Nancy Newman Hi, I didn’t adjust it at all. I just made a straight size 4. Thank you :) x

Hi Tamlyn, looks amaazing! I love the fabric and have actually been eyeing it up for a while. I have a pattern for a pinafore from Sew Me Something - it is called Beatrice. I got it from the handmade fair and your video has inspired me to work on it asap! I couldn't find the bias binding on 1st for Fabrics' website, do you have to physically go into the shop for it? x
@SewnontheTyne5 жыл бұрын
Hristina Petrova Thank you. Oh a lot of their stock isn’t online but if you just send them a message on Instagram or email, they are more than happy to sort it for you. Just say you saw it on my video and they’ll know which one you mean. They have it in black as well, and maybe another colour x
