If you like Filia, you'll love Fukua, John. Also, Robo-Fortune detaches her head a little... differently than MF. Her (up to three) head-drones can do three things: Ram, become a mine, and fire a missile barrage all at once. If you manage to do RF's "Really Talks!" taunt, it doubles the amount of missiles the drones launch, so you can get a 12-18-hit combo out of three heads using missiles.

Iirc yes Robo Fortune's head does come off. In fact unless I am remembering wrong she can shoot several off into the air and have them act like options of sorts. And Valentine can actually revive dead teammates iirc so that's part of the reason the bodies stay on screen

Robo Fortune can indeed launch head drones that fire missiles and plant themselves as landmines. Also, the bodies stay on the stage because Valentine has a level 5 super that can bring a downed teammate back to life with a fraction of health if she stands over them while she does it.

Fukua is a very interesting fighter. She can do basic zoning which can work well if you use the right projectiles at the right time, but she also has petty damn good combo potential.

As a playable or just the character? When it comes to playables, I can't get enough of Eliza. She fuels just that kind of unrelenting power-game I love playing in fighting games and her lack of mobility is an acceptable consequance for her reach. I have my ways to learn the real nitty gritty of the game, but I'm willing to go that distance while playing with Eliza. Now the problem is that I can't find a good partner. I'd like to solo Eliza, but the game seems to be smirking in dis-approvement of my decision. 2 or 3 on 1s seem heavilly favourable to team-players, solo-users only getting the most basic of compensation for it. I feel like the game really wants me to pick another fighter, but I honestly don't feel like mastering too many characters in a fighting game that isn't more easy on me like Smash Brothers. Painwheel's a good second. For just the character, I think the cast is overall strong and well-rounded. I'd be hard-pressed to come up with a character I didn't like or at least care for, although on that same token, I find it hard to find a character with a clear advantage over another narratively speaking.

Yeah, Robo Fortune can detach her head, and it'll float around with her, then you can use them as a missile strike of sorts. Crouching Heavy Kick is the command to detach her head, you can do this up to three times for one missile strike, can't remember the command to send them out, though.

Then Lauren Faust, having already left leading the show, swooped in and offered to help make original characters to make the game its own original product. I like this game. But the only gripe I have is the combo system where combos can go on for too long to the point where it's not even a fighting game anymore & it's basically a race between who can get the first hit.

The thing is it's not even the infinite. There are literal combos that can take 100% of your health easily with no resets or IPS baits.

+Random Ron Hmm, you'll really have to show some recent video proof on that. Ever since the patches to vanilla Skullgirls a couple years ago, and the addition of Undizzy, the only scenarios I've seen where full health dmg happens is either between unequal ratios, or a player doing a combo that burns 5-meters (which is late match, not much different than HD combos in KOF13). If someone's getting "100%'ed" by a character that isn't burning a lot of meter, there must have been some resets happening. In an equal ratio match, it usually takes at least 3 decent combos to kill a character, which is why resets are encouraged to keep the damage up. With scaling, even the longest combos in Skullgirls don't do relatively as much damage as what you'll see from high-damage strings in MKX, or even some currently known meter burn combos in SFV. In those games, you don't have the advantage of using multiple characters, with multiple health bars, to back you up either. Now, if we're talking about actual one-touch games, UMvC3 on the other hand...

Random Ron Ah, well too bad you don't have a replay. How long ago was it? I've seen some good Double players do close to 100% with a lvl5 (equal ratio), but not a lvl3. Lvl3 supers get scaled a lot in long combos too, so most good players wouldn't risk the meter without doing a reset. This combo would have to be SO good that everybody should be doing it (which is why I'm curious lol). If it was a 2v3 or 1v3 though, then yeah, that Double's gonna do some big damage, no doubt!

+Legoman Thirteen The game is on PC(Win, Mac, Linux)/PS3/360/PS4 and soon the Vita. Seems like they're probably playing the PS4 version. Gameplay's the same on all versions, but for now PS4 has the extra singleplayer stuff like voiced Story Mode. PC has the largest online playerbase through Steam, along with the lobby system which will be patched into console versions after the Vita release. Eventually the PC and PS4 versions will have the same content available, but they have to wait out exclusivity periods and stuff first.

It isn't a sequel it's just a re-release for PS Vita and PS4. It comes with all the DLC and the "cutscenes" are fully voice acted. It's basically just a Game of The Year edition. Not to mention how DLC was handled, DLC characters in the original were free for a month (which was great) after the month passed and you didn't download the character you would have to pay money for them.

Tavi Dapena You can buy all the DLC for the Steam release. While the fully voice acted cutscenes (images with text) is exclusive to 2nd Encore, it's a very small exclusive so it is not that big of a deal as the game is already full of charm.

Tavi Dapena It's just the voice actor reading what is on screen and is something that isn't necessary in the first place. Not to mention that when most of the voice actors try to make the characters sound casual in them, they just sound off. So I think that the voice acting for the basic fighting game story cutscenes aren't that great and are really nothing to complain about being exclusive.

I cannot say enough how much I love this game. I love how fast-paced the fighting is, I love the hand-drawn 2D animation, I love the jazzy soundtrack, I love EVERYTHING. The only real issue I have with the game is how shit I am at it. Can't win for the life of me. Of course most of the people who play online have been playing for years and know this game inside-out. Also, a question for everyone: Who's your favorite SG character and why?
