To be fair, Indonesia's high-speed trains are definitely smoother and faster than those in Japan.
@ph11p35408 ай бұрын
Because your high speed tracks are practically brand new. Give them 20 or 30 years and you may notice more vibration. Track ballast beds settle as rocks slowly break down. Also the track crown may for a Teflon like no stick coating or glaze from dead leaves that weld themselves into the steel as they get run over by train wheels. This is why Japan Rail has special technical support trains called Dr Yellow.to look for any track issues.

Japan was the one who canceled first, because they refused to transfer the technology. If it was continued until it was finished, then the disadvantage would be Indonesia because it did not master high-speed train technology. When China offered cooperation and provided high-speed train technology, why should they refuse? Now that the Indonesian and Chinese projects have succeeded, you Japanese are bringing up this stupid thing? embarrassing for you.

Wrong, 90% if the worker is Indonesian, even few Indonesian company get Technology transfer from this HSR. Japan didnt want to share Technology, thats why Indonesia choose China
@KomenJolokia8 ай бұрын
@@joMan1060 90% indeed, yes. (More like 1 every 7 workers but regardless of that) But working on what section and part for how long? What percentage of work do these workers contribute? How much is their worth? How involved are they? What do these workers contribute to? How are they regarded as, in this project? How much of these 90% are involved in higher positions? Ok, they got transfer of technology as part of the project. *What part of the technology?* How safe are they? How is the standards? How do they apply, upheld and comply to these standards? Now you understand why Japan's proposal is much more expensive and complicated. They regarded the standards highly (since being that is synonymous with made in Japan nowadays) and, *at the time,* doubts that Indonesians (like me) could properly maintain them. This is a problem, because Indonesian government needs them *now* and *cheaply* For comparison, China's (PRC) regards for standards usually speaks for themselves. What makes it even worse is how they view it culturally as well. The Wenzhou train collision in 2011 is not as dramatic as people in the west would like you to feel, but the Chinese Government's response of trying to *"bury the story"* by literally (censorship) and figuratively (actually burying the train in the nearby ground) clearly shows that they are only doing it (supporting the development of high-speed rail in China) for the sake of the rosy fame that it brought to and for the Chinese Communist Party, the government in the country.
Thank you for trying Whoosh, I hope you enjoy it~ Regarding Japan's cancellation of the tender for this project, it is very unfortunate, please understand that the government has its own considerations, such as in terms of costs and technology transfer (?). I hope Japan will take part and win the next project tender! I really hope to be able to try other Japanese technologies that are not currently available in Indonesia.
