Here's a downloadable file so you can play it." At which point I will clip through the floor in excitement. Extremely impressed with finally having access to the Dam. Can't wait to play it.

Same here. It's always been a dream to climb all the way to the very top of the castle. Not just that but be able to explore all around the outside of it too. I remember thinking that maybe it would be possible in the PS4 remake. And then when I finally got up to the main bridge & saw a ledge that was reachable on the right side of main door, I got so excited & jumped over to the ledge, only to tumble off & die. lol :(

Shortly after I completed it, I discovered the void-scavenging crew of people like you, Nomad, and I've binge-watched all the KZbin videos about discovering new areas and unused Colossi. This structure like bricks and architecture itself reminds me of the structures of ICO, needless to hide that the forbidden land contains some of the ruins of the castle of the black queen of ICO (the rings the easiest example). I could also too fuss but this structure is yet another example of ICO behind chronologically to SotC, sorry for my off topic but this video made me particularly happy and I'm downloading the Beta, thanks a lot Nomad and thanks to Wisi, you are great!

They should have included the Dam in the remake, with a path leading to it, crossing forests and cliffs. There you could explore the waterfall, cross the bridge, visit the arch, forests, find fruit trees and one or two of the 79 golden relics. It would have been a nice addition, in my opinion.

I still think it's sad the PS4 remake made no effort to reintegrate at least some of the cut content from the original game. Maybe it would have made for a different experience, but for how beautiful this game's world is, and knowing there was so much worked on but removed, not being able to experience it in at least some form is a crying shame.

Mostly all the necessary information is available on the net, so it is only a matter of searching, reading, experimenting. But beware that if you set on this path, you may waste much time and later regret starting this in the first place. So unless you are sure, really sure that it is really worth it, don't do it. Even for doing something simple, it can take weeks, not to mention doing something more complex. Nomad already described the methods he uses in videos and on his blog.

Although it is possible to disable some rendering layers and some other effects, I doubt that can lead to sufficient performance boost and it is far too much work to do. Optimizing a game is a very difficult task, that even professional developers struggle with. BTW my PC it runs the too slowly too, which is why I use a PS2. I don't know what optimizations the PCSX2 version for smartphones supports, but perhaps you should check that. @@topsecret9813 Are you talking about another version? The SotC version here doesn't have the debug menu enabled. The rendering layers can be controlled through the layer debug menu, but from what I remember the first release didn't have a functioning Layer debug menu. As for the the Japanese text - I translated almost all of it, but whoever made the first ISO didn't apply the translation patch. If you apply the patch, it will be translated. Anyway I think the Layer debug menu was not yet added back then, so it probably won't help much. You can try to enable the debug menu in the game version from the video description above. It is meant as a surprise to the SotC fanbase, so I will only say that it can be done with a button combination involving 5 buttons, the last one pressed has to be Select, and one of the others is D-pad Left.

I highly doubt the dam would be there, as they were probably cleaned out since no one would really be able to go there. The devleopers would have had to redesign it if it were kept in, so its probably not there. Would be really cool if it were there though!

I seriously think they scrap the unused 6 colossus is due to the fact they ran out of time and have to release the game to the market before the deadline ! I doubt what they claim in the art book saying all the problems they encountered! I seriously think is bullshit! The crab, the devil and sirus and roc are definitely capable to be put into the game! The standing horse sword slash mechanics are there in the game, the roc have so many video clip of it so there shouldn’t be any problem with it at all! Be in mind it is the only colossus that have video clips long long ago before the game releasing! Sirus too its movement are capable to put into the fame as there is 2 lion colossus within the retail version of the game! The fking stonehenge are there for god sake! The devil too as you can see the dam footage in this clip and everything is done! So there are no excuse for team ico and ueda to scrap those colossus!
