Does it? I haven't played but I don't see what more a fighting game could offer aside form more fighters, Shovel Knight offered 3 DLC stories and gameplay just as long or longer than the original game that expanded the universe and plot, a fighting game mode, a gender swap mode, achievements, a mission mode, and that's only for the base game and DLC across any platform. The PlayStation version has a mini story and boss fight against Kratos and you can play as Kratos I think, while the X Box version has a Battle Toads mini story mode, 3 sections where you battle each Toad based on different segments of their gameplay, and a special outfit for Shovel Knight when you're done. Meanwhile the Nintendo versions have 5 amiibo that also add extra things, and gameplay when scanned in. Base game was 15$, and because the developers are cool you could get all the DLC for free if you already owned the game, even post all that it's still at a decent price of 40$, that's 10 for each story mode not including the battle mode and all the other things I listed. Meanwhile Shantae in her last game had a similar deal, base game is 20$ but for an extra 10 you got at least 5 DLCs each slightly shorter than the base game but with 5 sets of gameplays each unique and different one of which has 3 characters with 3 different play styles from Shantae. I could be wrong I've never played a Street Fighter aside from 1 at an arcade a couple years ago, I grew up more with Killer instinct and Mortal Kombat. Not picking fights, it's just at face value it's a fighting game to which I don't see much changing or additions outside new characters, maybe new stages.

Let’s be honest, Blazikin would win a traditional Pokémon battle in the games, but the anime has shown that type advantage doesn’t mean much if you’re a better fighter. Lucario has something that most Pokémon don’t; aura. I think a skilled Lucario can use its martial arts and aura to beat just about anyone (even if they have the type advantage).

Makes sense, but these 2 are indie game characters, 2 of the most famous indie game characters, Shantae has a history spanning almost 2 decades now, Shovel Knight is young but with a lot of content to make up for lost time. Both take appearances based on retro 8 bit, both are side scrolling platformers, have an arsenal of weapons, power ups, and skills that give Megaman and Link runs for their money. Honestly I wish we would've gotten a full blown Death Battle for this rather than a DBX, there's so many things that weren't covered, heck I'd love a video game that could give me this kind of interaction... like Smash Bros... but will probably never happen.

She never even uses her battlizer (Shogun Mode) or even Shark Attack Mode, not even in the Boom Studio comic where she tells a few other red rangers to activate their battlizers but goes Super Mega Samurai ( a form intended solely for Megazord piloting) instead... The comic didn't have the same limitations as the show (they literally combined every zord ever once) so there was absolutely _no_ reason for her to _not_ go Shogun Mode

Even though I was rooting for Shantae, it's no big deal that she lost, this was still an awesome fight regardless! (Though I kinda wish they showcased more of their abilities, but that's just me) Besides it was a super close call when it came to voting, as the ratio was only a 4% difference between Shantae and Shovel Knight, which is actually pretty impressive if you ask me!

@@Girronki if anything the new DBX has been a de-evolution of the original. Sure the first three seasons had their fair share of duds but the original also had alot of really great episodes too and it did what it was supposed to do. Present a quick fun vs animation to it's audience, it really didn't need to "evolve". Now we have an obnoxious and unfunny host, a pointless analysis segment despite "no research" being part of the tagline, the polls making fights way more predictable instead of feeling like a legit surprise and even if you take all the new stuff added, season 4 was easily the worst season of the show. Outside of maybe Inuyasha vs Blake every fight ranged from mediocre to just terrible. And I like the idea of DBX being a testing ground for freelance animators. If it wasn't for that guys like Jetz would've probably never got a chance to make a DB. Old DBX wasn't perfect but there's an old saying that applies well with it. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Well... if you wanna go all nerdy and be technical and stuff, depending on natures and EV spreads, Lucario is faster. Give it a Life Orb or stronger boosting item and it can KO Blaze with Close Combat before the latter moves, so long as it's not Focus Sashed, Choice Scarfed, running Speed Boost + Protect, or running some unusual set to let it survive. (Assuming a neutral, turn 1 match-up, so no pre-Speed Boosts!). Blazekin might have a type advantage, but both are glass cannons. So, speed matters A LOT in that match-up as well as does managing to land the one-hit knock out because both are capable or pulling it off. It's really a set-depending match-up.

For me DBX sucks compared to regular Death battle, as for Lucario vs Blaziken, Lucario is weak to both fire and fighting, Lucario's abilities Inner focus, Steadfast, and Justified are not going to be useful against Blaziken, at least I can see Blaziken's ability Blaze being useful, I bet at some point at the fight, the ability would activate, powering up Blaziken's fire moves and incinerating Lucario, if for SOME strange reason they make Lucario win, I'm never watching DBX again
