Sharing a Folder From Your Windows to a Mac Virtual Machine - Coding Pursuits

You don't need to share the folder in Windows. That is only necessary if you run it as a normal network. Vmware will make the folder you select available in macOS. Remember that you need to reboot macOS if you have it running when you share it. I'm not sure if Vmware tools also need to be installed for this to work.
