To any trans person, if you behave and speak like Blossom, do not get surprised if people will treat you as if you are an ignorant child, if you behave like Gina, people will treat you like an actual nice lady and try to understand your side of the story... and to all trans folks, representation matters, if you choose Blossom to represent you, well dont get surprised if you are met with the same level of ignorance and denying attitude she gives.

@@hex_49 If you heard the brief explanation of Gina's story, Amala explains that Gina was actually born Intersex meaning she was born with discrepancy between the external genitals and the internal genitals. The doctor told her parents to pick a gender for her since she was born this way and they chose male. It's hard to say for Gina's situation but I don't know if she actually felts she was a woman because she was born with some woman parts or if it's a delusion. It's very hard to say though.

@@00J-Tone it's all confusion and all that is happening today is truly sad confusing right from wrong, up from down, left from right, and male from female. This is what comes from it and is corruption of what truly is. I recall being a child and how confusing things got especially approaching my teens. I could only imagine how confusing it is today for those who are dealing with any kind of past trauma much less children trying to find their way into who they will become. Sadly their identities are being stolen because of all this corruption and will hang their existence on their sexuality instead of building good character and having truly meaningful relationships. Not to mention the fact of the unreal suicide rate amongst "trans" that is higher than any other not because of "bullying" but because of there being no fulfillment in their actions that are irreversible and the constant echo chamber of lies that says that is what it takes to "fix you since God messed up".

My 9 year old son had come to me and said that he thought he was gay. I asked him why do you think that. He said ,"Well, because I like boys and I like girls." I said,' you can like a lot of people for their personalities and who they are, but it's not the same as being attracted to them. you're too little to worried about whether you're gay or not. All you need to worry about right now is learning in school and making friends. Everything else comes later." He said,' I'm good at making friends. So I'm doing OK." I told him when he gets older we can talk about it again and that was the last of it. I'm sure one day he'll bring it backup, but for the moment, he is no longer concerned about his sexuality.

@@AmberPremo Check the amount of people gathered for that research, and the reliability of it. If anything, the risk goes up in people experiencing transgenderism, and I have experienced first-hand that people who come out as “trans” are fragile and weak-minded. For instance, i simply told a trans MTF friend that “men can’t be women” and that it’s unhealthy to be what they’re being, and now im being called a terrorist. If your ideology is really that healthy, then why is it that expressing an opinion of the contrary can hurt y’all so easily? It’s because y’all know the truth and are denying it. I don’t know why, but it’s not healthy. I just wish you would get real help for your problems rather than create a fictional world where you need affirmation. I’m hoping that’s not completely who you are, but the last shred of hope I had for your people has pretty much even destroyed by having sensitive trans friends. If you disagree, then prove me wrong.

@@hex_49 yeah I’m sure your anecdotal evidence is more reliable than peer-reviewed studies 🤣 Id dare to say that I am neither fragile nor weak-minded. I enjoy hearing other perspectives on everything, including trans discourse. I think your proclivity to assume you know better than others you disagree with on trans issues is born from either willful ignorance or from a disgust response. Theres very few trans folk who actually believe we can become the opposite biological sex. Those who do are probably delusional in some way, sure. It is also delusional to think that you have any authority to dictate how other people choose to live their life.

I had a crush on my (same sex) best friend when I was a child (roughly preschool aged). I would tell my mom that I was going to marry them when I grew up. She asked me why I thought that, and I told her, "Because you're supposed to marry your best friend!" She recognized, as I do now, that because I was pre-sexual, my understanding of marriage was that you married your favorite person so you could be with them forever, and of course your best friend is your favorite person. So even though my family was very religious and very conservative, my mom's response was, "I'm so glad you have such a great best friend that you'd want to live with them forever," because telling me _why_ I wasn't going to marry them would've required explaining sex to me, and it wasn't time for that yet.

Or just explain it with you are to young to know about this and once you're older we can have this conversation. The only thing I think should be told to teens once they're at the age of crushes, and relationships is that its okay to have a crush on someone of the same sex. I would also add that in regards to little kids the most that needs to be explained is that some families look different some have a mom and a dad, 2 moms or 2 dads, or single parents. And that is okay.

In a relationship, if a partner says they are going to kill themselves if they don't get something, we call that abusive, regardless of whether that person is dealing with mental issues such as depression. Why is it not considered extremely abusive when trans people use suicide as a way to manipulate people into behaving how they want them to? Alot of ppl (i feel) are confusing gender with personality.
@eehlohluell

That's exactly it for many. Many women will see their "typically male" interests and instead of acknowledging that even though they don't have interests/behaviors that are 100% "typically female" they are still women despite those deviations, (because after all what really makes you a woman is if you're female or not). Vice versa for males. Here's an idea I tend to express. Gender and sex are not completely detached from each other. Sex is biological fact, and gender is a social construct that derives from the sexes (females tend to be more "motherly," empathic, etc, thus they are identified socially as women [with the main reason for being a woman is being female], males tend to be more "fatherly," stoic, etc. [with the main characteristic of being a man is being male). Males and females tend to have social characteristics that are generally more prevalent in one sex over the other, thus why females are generally identified to have feminine qualities, and that sex AND those qualities are what give birth to word woman. Same thing for males. To be a woman the characteristic that matters is that the person is female. Presentation and social behavior are secondary. To be a trans-woman the main characteristic of being a trans-woman is to be a male displaying and identifying secondary characteristics to being female/ a woman. I'll leave it at that, as that's not the main point of the conversation, just thought I'd share that idea.

@@eehlohluell My eyes roll into the back of my head anytime someone acts all enlightened then says "you seem to be confusing sex and gender. Because they are actually quite different. You see, gender is just a social construct." BLAH BLAH lol it's like every activist is reading from the same script VERBATIM. Aka another symptom of only being an ideologue and not having a single thought of their own. Anyways I hear what you're saying but honestly I think it's playing into their whole word game by conceding the words aren't related, even the slightest. Stacia Renee (first comment) has it right. They are confusing gender with personality. Period. Think back even 10 years ago this was a non issue. On every form you ever filled out sex and gender were used interchangeably but now it's more nuanced. Going into even more detail the truth is sex was the obvious physical characteristics and gender was referring to language. But like I said that eventually got mixed together to be interchangeable and now they are trying to redefine that. I'm so sick of the words games and semantics they use
@eehlohluell
@eehlohluell Жыл бұрын
@R G I may not have made it very clear in my first comment, but I do acknowledge sex and gender are, in fact, related(add to clarify: they are not just related, gender _derives_ from sex, as gender uses the sexes and their particular behavior to define gender roles culturally). "Sex" refers to solely the biological facts of sex, and gender refers to the sex and the social aspects of that sex-- the biological and the social. On a technicality, "gender is a social construct" isn't completely wrong, but it leaves out that it is a "social construct" *based on sex* --- a biological observable fact. I don't think this is entirely different to what you said, however, I think it might contribute to your point. When you say, "gender was referring to language" I'm understanding you mean that "women" is the social way we refer to females and "men" is the social way we refer to males. If I'm understanding correctly, I can comfortably say I agree with that statement. Language itself is a "social construct" in the most literal sense as it was something we humans invented(refined: as in they are a string of sounds essentially) to be able to communicate with each other (to be social). (Animals too have social constructs to communicate with each other [chirping, dancing, flaunting] if that helps understand what I mean) *My thought/elaboration to this is that gender is the social language we use to describe a biological objective fact.* I don't think acknowledging humans were able to come up with a creative way of transmitting reality with other humans is playing into their word game, but putting an end to their bastardization/"making a game" of the purpose of words and their meaning. They've been taking words and breaking them down, making a mockery of language: an example would be the word "woman". They've twisted it around so much that there's people who reduce what that word means to "it's whatever you want it to be". Being some form of Nihilism comes to mind. Although all language is "made up," the reality is they are meant to convey is a tangible reality, if not the self-evident truth about our nature and the nature of the world. I'm not very confident I expressed myself very well on this last paragraph, but I hope some of it sticks lol

They all are. Instead of simply dressing and put in on makeup because they like to. wWy do they think doing those things makes them a woman? Liking pink and dolls doesn’t make a guy a woman the same way that me being a tomboy didn’t make me a boy. Tomboys and feminine men are a thing. That’s what has always been a thing. It’s terrifying that they don’t live themselves but think mutilation and medication will make them feel better about themselves. I’ve seen so many tell how they would rather mutilate themselves than to accept the way they are. It comes down to hating themselves for being gay instead of accepting who they are.

The babysitter cried. I cried. Mom came home to a house full of tears and chocolate barf. Mom is my parent. I’m a father of four and have another one on the way. When my oldest son was about five, his favorite animal was a cheetah. He used to walk around the house all day pretending that he was a cheetah. This included walking on all fours and drinking and eating as a cheetah would in the documentaries that he would watch 😂. I of course allowed him to use his imagination, however. It began to be a bit too much and happened a bit too often, sometimes at the wrong times lol. At one point I had to sit down with him, as his father, and clarify that he was a human and not an animal. I made sure that he understood that he was a human male and not an animal. There was no confusion whatsoever. My son is eleven now. He is an absolutely amazing kid (I’m so incredibly proud of him) and he is comfortable communicating with me when it comes to everything or anything that he may be confused about. I come from a single mother whom was never able to connect or communicate with me and my father was essentially non-existent, so I’m making sure that I’m there for my children the way I always wanted my parents to be there for me. Am I perfect? Not by a long stretch, but I’ll never stop trying to be the best parent that I can be. I can’t speak on this dysphoria issue-however, I can say that a lot of what we are seeing in culture today most possibly stems simply from horrible parenting-or rather-the lack of actual parenting.

No discredit to you or your child. I’ve seen a few people write cases like this. And while I do think it is valid, I will say some kids have never really been on that side of the fence. As a gay child, I realized I had a preference toward men fairly young. Not even through sex but just in the way I romantized them, maybe like you would see a prince and princess. Similar to crushes we all have as heterosexuals and homosexuals. I knew this by 5 years old. That experience has always been central and very much evolved into sexuality for me. With that being said, because I had to live my life as someone who is gay and also a minority in other aspects, I always had a very realistic and mature view of what I was. Never an animal, or anything imaginary. It was always a very hyperrealistic view bc I knew what I was in society wasn’t neccesarily typical. And I had to find myself my own way since there was little representation. It is very hard to tell with kids sometimes but there are some out there who are strong willed and really know their core identity at a young age. But there are also kids who maybe flip flop a bit more, or express themselves more flexibly. When we think of it like that and relate it to transgenderism, I feel most kids will only bring something like this up if they have put some serious thought into it. Being that we see small nuances like discrimnation through school and other children. But you will always have those cases of detransitioners or social media tricking children. Thats why maybe it would be appropriate to put an age cap for transitioning… but to not allow people up to 26 years old to transition like what is being currently proposed in the ACU is a takeaway of personal freedom and expression, that I personally cannot get behind.
@eyerebel763
@eyerebel763 Жыл бұрын
@@shaktra1563 The point that I was making was that kids need their parents, father and mother, to guide them and teach them about life. I don’t know what situation you were raised in, but a lot of my gay friends, admittedly didn’t have a mother or father around (one of my good friends was adopted by an older couple) or had a passive parent around who didn’t care what they did. I’m not saying that’s the case for everyone in the LGBT community. I’m saying it’s the case in some or a lot of the situations. One of my closest friends who is a lesbian became a lesbian because of something traumatizing that happened to her at a young age by an older male figure, so you even have those sort of situations. I would say one hundred percent of the families that I grew up around didn’t really have parents to teach them-they had the type of parents who thought that the only thing a parent had to do was provide a roof over their head and dinner on the table- they had no sort of connection or relationship with their kids. They had no idea what was going on in their life. I’m black and Filipino-most the asian community can vouch for friends and family that had parents who worked hard, cooked dinner, and went to sleep and that was the extent of their relationship. A lot of black friends and family can vouch for many of us not having their father or mother around. A lot of times things can turn out different if their is no parental guidance. That’s what we parents are here for. I’m only speaking on behalf of good parents. I know there are millions of horrible parents out their too, whom give their kids bad examples and all sort of mental/psychological issues. At a young age you may have been one of the few who was certain what they want, however. The other point that I was making is most kids are kids, they don’t know what the hell they want. At one point I wanted to be an astronaut and also join the military, until life and experience changed my mind. I was still figuring out who I was, I had no idea. I didn’t know that I would be an artist and a writer. It would take years to figure things out. My kids don’t even know who their favorite power ranger is or if they like blue or green more. They constantly will change their favorites character in video games and their favorite food/deserts/snacks change every week. Hell, as a child I personally was only worried about playing outside, sports, toys, Pokémon cards, bugs, video games and all sorts of random things throughout elementary and middle-school. Some people as a child identify with a sexuality, I was identifying myself as Superman. I definitely wasn’t bored. Romanticized relationships or sexuality wasn’t even in my mind or vocabulary. I had no room for it at that age. I’m essentially just saying that we need good parents around who are willing to be a positive and intelligent authority in a household. I’m also saying that a lot of kids just want to be kids and don’t know who they are, they’re still figuring things out and that’s okay. It doesn’t help that we live in a world that is becoming increasingly confusing at an alarming rate, where society and movies and games are telling our kids who they are and how to think instead of letting them figure things out themselves. There is also a disgusting bully culture regardless of which side of the fence you lean towards. That can really put peer pressure on kids and young adults as well. It’s good that you had yourself all figured out at a young age, but there are many who don’t and there are so many factors in ones life that influence their decisions and who they will become. It doesn’t hurt for a parent to be the light to show the the way. I also want to say that I’m not discounting all the amazing single parents out there. I had a single mother so I know that they exist lol.

I also have a few friends who knew at a young age. I had friends who said their first sexual relationships were in elementary lol so I don’t think it’s just black or white. As a natural born woman I’m so sick and tired of men trying to take away our very natural and given biology by God. A woman is an adult female, period. They want respect from women while denying us respect. We should just stop with the being nice. Feelings are not facts. You can feel like whatever you want that doesn’t make it fact. This won’t stop unless we as women stop it. If we don’t I fear for our future. We all know that money talks. I believe that if we hit the people that give in endorsements as well as awards that should rightly go to actual women to biological men that things would change. It’ll take sacrifice but as women we have and will always sacrifice but that doesn’t mean that we should sacrifice what we are from God and by nature. I have a 27-year-old son named Patrick who came out as gay when he was 16 years old. When he was 3 years old he came down the stairs in his big sister's pink feather boa and high heel shoes and proclaimed that "from now on I am to be called princess peach". When he was four he put his sisters silver shiny dress on and wanted to wear it everyday everywhere we went. Every morning I told him "no Patrick dresses are for girls. You are a boy. Boys don't wear dresses". Then I would dress him in his boy clothes. He would put the dress on over his clothes and I allowed that. We did this for 2 years. Most people didn't freak out. You should have seen what he did in his first game when we made him try out for football in the fourth grade! It was hilarious. I never allowed people namely his five other siblings to ever whispered that Patrick is gay. I said if he is he'll figure that out for himself when he's older. I never labeled him. Well I mean I guess I did I said he was a boy but that's because I live in reality. If this was happening right now in this environment I wonder if I would have fallen for the whole gender affirming care ideology? I don't think so! Patrick wore that dress for two and a half years and took it off one day and never put it on again. And to find out he discovered that he was only gay! I see the good and bad of both sides and usually find that the truth or what seems "best" generally lies somewhere in the middle. The problem with being extreme on either side is that your judgment is clouded by an intolerance or hatred of the other side. That doesn't allow rational and open-minded thought. I do my best to encourage free thought and challenge or question ideas presented to you. Unfortunately today that kind of thinking is usually met with criticism and an assumption that I am on the other side... Whatever the opposing side happens to be at that moment. This is kind of why I think the entire restroom debate is ridiculous. If you're fully transitioned just go into the bathroom of the gender you look like. No one's going to question it. And we don't worry about those people being dangerous. The people who put that much effort into actually transitioning are most likely not predators. The people we have to worry about are the people who essentially are men in wigs and dresses. So if you look like a man in a dress... no you shouldn't be allowed to go into the women's bathroom. That's going to make women and girls feel unsafe. But if you're fully transitioned and you look like a girl, then obviously it would be way more of a stir for you to go into the men's restroom then to go in the women's bathroom.

If we’re talking biological sex I assume you mean post op trans people should go where there original sex is located. Right? My only qualm with that is, while women may be safer in these situations what about the transfolk who enter these spaces? More often then women face trans predators, trans people face discrimation, gawking, and physical violence especially on the male side. How do we make them feel as safe as the women in question? This goes especially for the locker room scenario.

I love Jubilee and I enjoy and appreciate the content they do. I think I started getting your videos on my recommended after watching the Trans Women vs Conservative Women video. I was really happy to see Gina again! She's been in Jubilee's Spectrum videos and she's such a sweet and open minded person. Being an older trans women she's obviously experienced so much throughout her life, things that a lot of younger trans people and those who call themselves tras because they don't get it do not understand or respect.

I've noticed that there is a huge difference in the handling of the subject between boomers/genX and millennials (calling out my own)/genZ trans people. Boomers + GenXers tend to be calmer and more rational in these discussions. They feel so much more approachable. Will I ever agree with their choices, not always, no, but I will absolutely listen to what someone has to say if they aren't going to resort to ad hominem fallacy. I could listen to people like Gina and Buck all day long!

I don't fully understand the argument of "why do you care about who is in the toilet, mind your business, you are just going to pee". Sure, but to the person making that argument, why do YOU care so much that you should be able to go into a specific bathroom and that some people don't want you to?

I would ideally love a single stall option generally speaking bc it would also be good for families when let’s say a dad needs to bring his young daughter to the restroom but doesn’t want to use the men’s room. However you can’t enforce that it has to be up to the establishment to offer it

If the government made a law stating all establishments needed to have at least one unisex single stall bathroom with a changing room in it, it would happen. The ADA made wheelchair accessible stalls in 1990, we can make this happen in the 2020s.

@@coalescence4479 When you give middle ground to a ideology built off of delusion, you get the type of society we live in. Transgender people who don't pass can and should use accessibility toilets. Often seen as the "disabled toilet", which makes no sense. It just so happens they have equipment for helping people with mobility issues. They are also used by families with multiple children in venues that don't have dedicated family toilets. Many accessibility toilets have baby changing tables in them because they are effectively unisex. That keeps everyone safe. If they're offended by using an accessibility toilet, that's a them problem, not everyone else's problem.

My issue is that the women's restroom is not a sanctuary for outcasted men. women should not have to bear the brunt of having anyone male in the female restrooms, because no matter how female they look, male tendencies and instincts are still there. You can even see that in Blossom and Gina. Gina having a quiet older male vibe and Blossom having a domineering vibe. When you say that women need to think about the males who chose to be "women", you are asking women to think not for themselves and their safety but for those males. Transsexuals should fight for a third space period. Women need to tighten up because when you're too comfortable and relaxed with males in the restroom, you get jerkoff videos of men fetishizing our spaces, you get secret spy cameras, you get entitled men threatening who don't agree. Again, tighten up.
