This is a great way to gain strength. You can learn a lot from this man. After 22 years of training in this fashion, I will confirm that it works.

Personally I use them for building both strength and size. It pays to experiment with different routines. Learning to flex correctly is very important, and that comes with practice.

I was impressed with this video and although I am 68 I tried to do like this with hard fast exhales - after just a few I got a Globus Pharyngeus - which startled me because I'd never experienced anything like it - it's a condition that causes a sudden lump feeling in the throat - like a muscle cramp for the throat muscles caused by sudden acid reflux or gastrointestinal reaction after eating and then exercising - I hadn't eaten much and it was a 1/2 and hour to an hour since I'd eaten anything - That was about 6 pm yesterday - I still feel it but it is going away fairly quick - just thought I'd tell you

I don’t deliberately do hard qigong. I also don’t know how good effects it has on my body. However, whenever I’m extremely angry with myself I tend to generate very negative energy in me so I would take a very hard and deep breath and TENSE UP my body while pushing out the negative forces together with blowing out the air HARD. I would do this a few times. I don’t know if this helps but I think so because after doing the hard qigong as a result of anger, I felt better. And because of the build up of TENSION during the qigong my body seems to get stronger and the muscle harder.
