I'm 68 years old. My kids, grandkids and I have seen Shinedown 8 or 9 times together. One of the best bands ever especially live! Brent's voice is amazing!

You’re right, they are encouraging, because the lead singer had an addiction problem years ago, so he’s very empathetic, and they always go deep in their music writing! I remember listening to them when I was going to one of the worst break ups of my life, and I’m so glad I found them because they’re songs. Encourage you to stand up and have courage, not to chase after somebody who hurt you.

By the lead singer, Brent Smith's, own admission, this should be the top of the Shinedown rabbit hole. All 7 albums are great. Every album is banger after banger. I've seen them live 5 times and they never disappoint. Great songs, great stage presence and of course Brent's vocals are phenomenal.

Jasin Todd co-wrote almost half of The sound of madness album, he basically played the guitar in almost every demo tracks for that album, unfortunately he was kicked out two or three months before the album release because of his problems with alcohol and drugs unfortunately. Jasin and Brent at the time they were like toxic twins.

I herd when Brent got sober they couldn't get along anymore. The last show they did together is on KZbin you can tell they were not the same together anymore. Brent & Jasin did talk back when Threat to Survival came out. They are okay now, Jasin comments on his Twitter sometimes.

My dream would be for him to return to the band permanently and for them to return to being a five member group like during the 2005/2006 tour.

First off, my brain is malfunctioning because I read "Sound of Silence" not " Sound of Madness" LMAO. Second, Shinedown is definitely one of my top 5 bands of all time. Brent(lead singer, and his hair is way shorter now btw) always has amazing vocals and a lot of their songs touch on things like mental health, bullying, etc.
