SHITO RECIPE | Ghana’s Famous Black Sauce (Chili Sauce) | Debzie’s Delight

Shito is Ghana's famous black sauce. This spicy (chili) sauce (shito) makes a big difference to your meals by adding the spice (heat) that makes every meal taste better. For the magic it adds to your meals, shito has become very popular, not just in Africa but throughout the world. In this video I show you the best (easiest) way to make your own shito (black sauce) at home and to your preferred taste. Honestly speaking, making shito is quite demanding; but the result is worth every effort that goes into it. If you like this, do not forget to give me a thumbs up and leave your comments.

► Ingredients
200g Herring powder
220g Shrimp powder
120g Extra hot chili powder (Adjust according to your tolerance for spice)
20g Chili flakes
8 Habanero peppers
3 Tbsp Coconut oil
Sunflower oil
250g Tomato puree
540g Ginger
8 White onion bulbs
4 Red onion bulbs
9 Garlic
1½ Tsp Anise seed
1½ Tsp Cloves
1½ Tsp Black pepper corns
1 Tsp Cumin seeds
1 Tsp Coriander seeds
1 Tsp Rosemary
1 Shrimp stock cube (You can use any seasoning of your choice)
Salt to taste
**All these ingredients can be adjusted based on the quantity you are making.
