Great video, at 63 I remember when most people dressed this way regardless of income. A term I like better is “quiet elegance”. People often commented that my parents and grandparents had an elegance about them as did all the adults I knew growing up. Color was worn and their personalities were expressed, but in a way that added to the environment they were in, instead of taking over it. This was accomplished with very little money to spend on clothes. My grandmother often made her own clothes. It’s fascinating to see all the hoopla about a style I grew up with. From an early age I learned from my very humble but elegant role models that a person should wear their clothes, their clothes shouldn’t wear them.

The thing is back then clother weren't made in sweat shops so even if it was sewn at home the fabric quality would be considered wealthy looking by today standards

@@janejdough2230 that's true about most things but labor was cheap, material was not therefore the difference between two tops made by the same tailor for two different classes of clients comes down to WHAT it is made of/trimmed with vs HOW it was made.

She takes my breath away everytime she appears on camera for the first time! So glad her character ditched the oversized jumpers and the harried hair during the first season. I love the way the light hits her skin. She is proper fit and packs a serious booty backstage. She has got that power dressing shit down to a T. We love her. Power dressing doesn't suit Shiv Roy at all. She has looked awkward and ill-fitting in her clothes since season 2 and I understand that's intentional. As soon as she left her former career and joined the Roy business, she abandoned her softer, season 1 look which suited her much better and adopted a corporate look which she never really pulls off, much like she doesn't pull off succeeding in the family business, resulting in the nadir of Conor's wedding. I've noticed in the most recent episode she seems to be reverting back to the softer style (the waistcoat and fluid blouse in episode 5) and she wore the pearl drop earrings that she wore all the time in the 1st season. I'm interested to see how her style progresses this season, bearing in mind it's set over just 10 days.

I really miss the old video style. I understand that she’s very pretty, but her face and voice are almost expressionless. The robotic voice brought more life to these and really helped her analysis shine. Hopefully, she’ll grow with time and relax a little.

It’s really not about me being pretty. I make these videos by myself and honestly I know I’m not the most energetic or charismatic, that I fall short to a literal robot but that’s why I am capable of making these videos because I have never been that. I’ve been quiet, studious, and observant my whole life. I’m sorry I don’t have the same time on my hands anymore to spend several hours every single day editing videos, but I want to continue to make them and make what I want without limits of using other’s visuals.
