Oh my heart! This video was a roller coaster of smiling and crying... I'm so glad that you shared about this city and it's recent history in a different way than I've seen before.

I like that you describe the cruelty of war in the most sincere tone, it is very detailed and warm! The civilians in Iraq do not want war. I hope the United Nations can help them rebuild their homes and the people can return to a prosperous and healthy life as soon as possible! The hug of the thin little girl and the smile of the construction worker on the roadside illustrate that war is ruthless, but people are compassionate! Thank you for confirming all this for us! You are awesome, courageous, and the best travel experts! I have the highest respect for you! 👍🥰🙏

I generally love your videos, but this one was something else. It made me cry, feel grief and hope at the same time, but also anger, as it's quite easy to see the parallel to what is happening as we speak in Palestine. Innocent people losing their hard earned living, homes and family due to interest of powers larger than them. Thank you for spreading kindness wherever you go!

This video is incredibly eye-opening. The resilience and kindness of the people in Mosul shine through despite the hardships they've faced. It's heartwarming to see the hospitality and positive spirit of the locals, a testament to their strength and humanity. Thank you, Wild Viking Travels, for sharing such a powerful and moving experience. 🌍💙

Yet another important travel vlog by these two travellers. There is something in their videos from the middle east that tells us that these are cultures of peace and kindness - these are vital lessons in a world where media and politics are dividing us. Get this couple onto mainstream reportage... they really are in a separate league from other travellers and vanlifers in the way they report. Bravo Wild Vikings Bravo!

The two of you make some of the best travel videos on KZbin. They aren't always the happy travel videos of beaches and cool places. You provide us with so much insight into places that most of us have never visited. We love how you narrate with passion, compassion, thoughtfulness and emotion. We don't often have tears in our eyes watching travel videos, but you invoke our emotions about things we weren't even aware of. Your interactions with locals show how kind people around the world are. Most people are genuinely nice. Is is the corrupt, power hungry rulers/governments that can, and do, make the world a living hell for so many!!! Thanks you for these great videos!!! We really appreciate what you are doing and have so much respect for the two of you!!!!!!!

Thank you guys for putting a lot of effort in making this trip and video, it made me cry for what happened, but at the same time, hopeful that people of Mosul will push through into a better, safe, and more promising future. this city has a lot of things to offer, over there there's one of the oldest monasteries in the world, a little bit over 2000 years old, there's the shrine of the profit Younus (Alaihie AlSalam) and a lot more. Thanks again.

You made me cry, man. I remembered when we lived in one of these destroyed houses fifty years ago. The city was very beautiful, multi-religious and multi-belief. Everyone lived in peace and harmony. The Iraqi people are generous, love life and peace, and hate war. They destroyed this country because of its great history and endless wealth. This city’s real name is Nineveh. It was the capital of the Assyrian Empire. It ruled the world and created glory thousands of years ago. Thank you for this beautiful and sad video at the same time

Well, that was powerful! I have a few years on you guys and have visited some pretty god forsaken places over the years to discover that, where there is life, there is hope! We all hope for peace, for love, sadly many never find it in their hearts, how can they ever share love with those around them! I travel less now but still push my boundaries, my borders, to experience that "love", to share that "love", in my own way. The one thing I still carry with me is "respect", respect others and they will respect you. No matter what religion, what culture, show respect"
@Deeeepsea-j5m9 ай бұрын
I feel your compassion! And my heart absolutely goes out to the innocent Iraqis and I am touched too by the kindness they showed you. But do not forget it is US imperialism that brought ISIS to Mosul! It is the crime of US illegal invasion causes such damages. The US must pay for rebuilding the city, and reparations. But as of now, there’s Gaza Palestinians being bombed! And sufferings continue. Yes we are capable of campaigning for peace and but can we bring consciousness to the war mongers of the West and their money making military industrial complex machinery and the brutality of the killers!
