Shower Pan Access | Amateur Boat Building and Boat Restoration (Ep69)

Where does this hole in my bathroom go on my boat? The hole is for the shower pan drain, but how do I get access to the underside of the shower pan?

Well done Joe. I'm sure you'll leave enough room between the front of the engine and the access you just created. You don't want to have to remove the engine to work on the shower--though that might be easier than removing the shower pan.

Thanks Joe. 😁 I think we have no worries since the Beta 38 engine will be nice and small relative to the engine compartment and the old Nissan Ld28 diesel. Should be plenty of room 👍

Good Idea ! You need access to all thru-hulls, I like the idea of Zero thru-hulls . But sometimes they are necessary. Okay Joe Summer is on the way.....Have fun !

I live in Brazil, the southeast State . Today was 35C, something close to 100F. In the winter we run close to 0C, but without snow. Tomorrow I will run with my boat. Great weekend guy's.

I really apreciate. How about installing an inspection port? US$16 in WM. I need to do this on my power boat 22,5 feet with Optimax 150HP. I need to dedicate my time with my boat. Thanks to share your projects.

I thought about that. 😁👍But the level of the floor in relation to the bulkhead presents a problem for an inspection port
