@ithinkthereforeitalk935 Жыл бұрын
It's a rather stupid quote. I am the kind of person who would train 3 times a day if his body allowed this. But it doesn't and I had to learn how to train smart. If you are too eager and pushing yourself to the limit, you' ll eventually get seriously injured/ overtrained/ frustrated/ stressed out all the time. Been there, done that. The qoutes you are citing are for people who have never exercised a lot, those who do understand the importance of periodization,meticulous planning and RECOVERY. Your mind is basically what scientists call the CNS if you overload it with excessive training your mind (the ability to think clearly, convince yourself, plan ahead) will be the first to go.

This is cool, way to go and hats off to all your hard work. 52 here and still looking great, nowhere near as good as you, but I'm happy. I think an important thing to understand is we're all different and not compare yourself to someone like Paul who has been at it hard his whole life. I'm staying lean and muscular by lifting 3x a week and cardio once along with good nutrition. Am I going to be flexing shirtless in a KZbin video like this one? No, I'm not that jacked and never will be. But I was shirtless at the pool last weekend and was the best looking man over 45 there, I even catch the occasional young lady checking me out (talk about an ego boost). So that's a nice real world example of how things can be for the average guy if he puts in the work.

I am built better than most men my age, I say humbly, but to prove Paul's point and that you can achieve and maintain strength and fitness at any age if you put in the work without excuse. I was in the gym this beautiful Sunday morning of August 27, 2023 at 2 a.m. because that it was it takes and that is what I am willing to do. I’m a woman of 45 years old and have been doing fitness workouts since age 17. When I joined the gym at age 20 I was only doing cardio workouts and avoiding weights. At 30 I began doing resistance training and HIIT exercises. Then there were times when I wasn’t working out allowing myself to gain weight with a bad diet in my late 30s. Cardio exercise wasn’t enough to keep in shape as in my early twenties. Through my late thirties and early forties I had too many failures. After a massive weight gain post pandemics lockdown i rejoined the gym at age 44 weighing 78kgs. I began with excessive cardio then gradually got into various weight lifting workouts like the deadlifts. I’m now weighing 65kgs or less. I can leg lift up to 52kgs. Im working on upper body strength to do pull ups.

Only around seven hours a week with this instead of sitting on your ass, drinking beer and watching TV. It takes so little. A little self-discipline and setting goals.

You're absolutely right, "MINDSET" 68 Years old , 5' 7" 190 lbs 14 % body fat, staying consistent and pushing myself. Use to be 17 miles a day 5 1/2 min. Mile pace. Now it's pretty much weight lifting and heavy bag. On no medication, only vitamin and minerals and a pretty clean diet.

i now have a new goal. I am presently 47 and for my 50th birthday, i want to be looking like you . i did a body tr5asformation when i was 41 with a private trainer, got at 6% body fat, and i do have a shape like yours, 5 foot 9, 185 lbs. I was the owner of a gym for 2 years, i was the cross fit coach in it and also cross fit athlete, i train 5 yo 6 days a week cause i love it and i am really discipline. right now i do a carnivore diet, but i add small fruit in the morning shake (blueberry, black cherry and banana + 1 spoon of honey) the rest if only carnivore. This is upon my reach and your video gave me the boost i needed and a new goal, many thanks.

Not gunna lie I had a KZbin short and I was like no way this guy is natural. I watched this video and now have a new channel I look forward to get some Knowledge. 32 y/o have lifted since I was just out of HS. I had 2 open heart surgeries as a kid and I am in better shape than most of the people I know, all I take supplement wise is protein, creating, and pre work out. Also eating and adequate rest is pretty crucial. Most of the influencers seem pretty toxic and hard to listen too. Awesome video and message man

I am 45 on the same path. It is very important that we see the reality of how he presents himself in these videos. Look at the lighting. Look at the pump he has on. We as men need to aspire to this level but realise he is selling a product also. Hence these little tricks. I say this so none of us feel a sense of lack when our mirror looks different to the video. He does make me get up and do the work and I appreciate him for it. Keep on keeping on.

How ironic that when a man becomes shredded after being overweight for so long they are accused of being on PEDs or TRT🤷‍♂️I am 5’10” & very lean/muscular 175lbs(8% bodyfat) at 47 years young & have been working out since I was 14. I now continue to weight training 6 days per week. I agree with this fella in the video as I have many young people in the gym ask me what I am on(implying TRT due to my age & being ripped) and they are always shocked that I am life time natural. Sad how everyone is always looking for the magic pill/solution & do not want to put in the hard work 🤷‍♂️

Careful, Paul: if you are guilty of the following, please don't over generalize like so many well meaning people do. Some have issues like childhood trauma, etc. that can easily be mistaken for laziness, lack of will, etc. While you were envisioning your perfect body or whatnot at 8 years old, some of us were dealing with some pretty dysfunctional parents. With all due respect, I wonder if your childhood was idyllic. If so, please dont ever take that for granted. We dont all start at the same point. Your awesome willpower is likely the result of forces that shaped your life 40-50 years ago. I am not sure you are guilty of the following, but please don't leave your viewers with the belief that the only reason they don't reach their goals is due to forces entirely within their control. Congrats to you regardless.

I now have 4 children .and am about to ride my bicycle to the gym for a work out. I am 6ft and 180 pounds and will humbly and honestly say that I have been blessed by God to have a similar physique as yours. I have always been asked if I tare steroids. I am always told that I look 30. I am mot writing this to brag, but to want to hug you for speaking the truth. I was taught to always choose the hardest mist difficult path and choice and that my body is a secret temple and gift from God. I never have put anything unnatural in it. I love everything you said . You are definitely the exception to the rule. I am 58 and been working out my entire life and at 5'7 I weight 165 pounds. I've also been in healthcare some 30 years and I know that most people won't go the extra mile to get what they desire in life. So, you are exactly right in everything that you stated in your video. However, just for clarification, TRT and HRT are not steroids. It is simply replacing hormones that decline with natural aging in the average human being that has NOT done what you have done when it comes to discipline working out and eating right. Due to that, their testosterone levels are tanked and when they do try and workout they have no motivation or desire to keep going because they see no results. We live in a "convenience" society. We want everything tomorrow! As a matter of fact, we want everything today! Problem is, a physique like you have is not achieved in one day, not even with extensive steroid use. So, as an exercise physiologist with years of training in functional medicine, I will say this. PROPER TRT/HRT can be beneficial in someone who has hormones that are lacking. As a matter of fact there are countless clinical trials showing an overall increase in mortality for those with low hormones. The key is balance! You can't inject 100mg per week of testosterone and think everything is good. For example, you have to address any thyroid issues first! If thyroid is good, then TRT may be an option. Are they severely obese? If so, more of the testosterone you do inject will get converted to estrogen and while some professionals think that estrogen is no big deal if you are on TRT, I am here to tell you that it's a very big deal and I have thousands of men I have worked with over the years. Also, if you inject too much at one time it gets converted to DHT and estrogen. So, TRT and HRT in the right hands of a qualified professional can do great things for men and women who are aging and desire a better quality of life. Of course, TRT/HRT is just one piece of the puzzle and there are many more things like genetics, workout routine, diet, overall lifestyle, and last but not least - WILLPOWER! Keep up the great work!

I feel I wasted my 30s, being married, working the grind of a desk job with a long commute, kids, home life… I let myself put my health in the backseat, rarely exercising, poor food choices, etc But now I’m in my 40s, I’m working remotely, kids are in school, and I’ve started reclaiming my time, my fitness and my nutrition. It’s much harder to get back to any level of fitness you may have had in your earlier life but it’s possible with dedication. Here’s to doing the next stage of life better so I’m around to enjoy the last part and be there for my family

I'm on my way, 47 and I train in Muay Thai, Kendo, Escrima, barbell lifting, kettlebells, calisthenics, Les Mills HIIT classes, Yoga, tennis, pickleball, ping pong. I train 1-2 hours a day weekdays, 2-3 weekends. 90% plant based diet and I look and feel great. My only work out supplement is creatine and the occasional protein shake and pre-workout (usually black coffee). Anything is possible my older friends! And to you young guys, you currently look the way you've spent the last 10 of your life so start early and your 30's and 40's will be amazing. If you start late, you'll thank yourself in 10 years.
