The whole family is ICONIC. I love michael and janet. Love the Jacksons. Everytime I watch a biography or anything about their careers, it gives me chills. They had an amazing life. Despite the ups and downs they've always showed that they're normal ppl just like us with personal struggles. No one is perfect. Yet, they always had the drive and courage to go on and do what they had to do musically. Janet, Michael, The Jacksons, and the Jackson 5 music catalogs are so impressive and legendary to this day.💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕👑 👑 👑 👑 👑 👑 👑

Michael and Janet were close for many reasons. Among all the siblings these two were the most successful so they didn't need anything except moral support from each other. They both were financially supporting the Jackson family. They had to carry out the biggest expences like house renovation, EMIs etc. So they were a comfort zone for each other. But somehow in the later years of Michael they were not that close.
@unathinkomo5858 Жыл бұрын
Yeah according to his family towards Michael's later years, there were people around Michael that tried to keep his family away from him I order to take advantage of his kind nature. Whenever his family would come visit, they'd be stopped at the gate by his guards and no one would tell Michael his family had come because of orders from other people who tried to detach him from his own family. It was very sad to hear 😭

Control changed the landscape of Pop R&B music. She, along with her amazing producers JJ and TL, shifted the culture and influenced a lot of others to follow suit…including her brother. It really grinds my gears that even to this day people only refer to her as Michaels sister…downplaying her achievements and contributions. A lot of the times people don’t even credit her but instead they give all the credit to her brother. I mean I get it…he was extremely talented and he came out first setting the bar very high. But imagine being the sibling of the greatest entertainer of the world and making your own remarkable strides that will lead you out of your brothers shadow. That is amazing and hasn’t been done at that level since. Unfortunately I think that when Janet is no longer on this earthly plane..that she will finally get the love and the respect that she deserves.
@RocStarr913 Жыл бұрын
Her success is proof that there is misogynoir. Pop music changed considerably before and after the Control album, especially urban music, it was a changing of the guard. The more the years pass, the more that is undeniable. Her impact is every bit as titanic as Michael’s on their own terms.

I listen to Janet Jackson more than Michael because I enjoy her songs more and the style of music she does (yes they are very different believe it or not). That said Michael was a once in a life time talent and was clearly the more naturally talented and “gifted” of the two. Janet’s achievements were more from hardwork and training, but still theres just something about her music, especially that 4-album run: Control, Rhythm Nation 1814, janet, and The Velvet Rope. She has some great grooves and wonderful lyricism which she is underrated for.

“Their approach in making music is so different” They actually remind me of the way Mozart and Beethoven creating their own symphonies. Janet is simple, quick yet so clean and presice reminds me of that Mozart. But Michael go through hundreds of samples, demos, just to pick a couples songs in his albums is like Beethoven. Almost all his works are polished yet full of surprises. Both are established artists in their own way yet their bond and love for each other are unmatchable. I adore these two siblings so much ❤

@appleheadslatte, there was actually rivalry between Michael and Janet that is not reported here maybe due to inadequate research or a deliberate act to exclude it. There is a book title, the man behind the mask that talks about Michael's fear and possible jealousy that Janet might one day surpass him in the charts and in popularity. There was a clash about this between the two siblings where Michael yelled at Janet saying to her, "diva You will never surpass me". There are other salacious details in the book on how Michael controls everyone in the family. The book, "The man behind the mask" is an expose written by a duo of insiders in the j ackson camp. I am sure you could order the book from amazon.

While Michael sold out Wembley stadium over and over Janet may sell out a couple of shows at Wembley arena. Janet Jackson is good in her own way however when it comes to Michael Jackson is another story, he surpassed his peers to cut long story short no one will ever be like him including her sister. They both good in their on ways
@lavonnealexander69363 жыл бұрын
He definitely surpassed his peers and literally hasn’t been surpassed. Shit, is literally crazy.

Janet was just awesome as an artist. Lets face it, no other Jackson besides Michael was as talented as Janet. Micheal also, while brilliant, rode nostalgia through the 90s and into the 2000s. Janet always felt current in a way, while Micheal always felt like 80s nostalgia (in a good way). But there are no other Jacksons as talented as either of them.

Any siblings should be as Janet and Michael, to take care of each other and love each other, this is how anyone should be.

Michael was 5 years older than me. All my life I've been so draw to not only him but Janet as well. It's as if they held the secret to something we all desperately need to understand. To this day I still say they are the 2 most beautiful people/souls God ever created. I've never understood my open-mindedness. But incredibly grateful. I'm white. Grew up in a very small southern town. I'm now the Mayor of this little City and can see incredible change. I'll never understand prejudice. I never have. I pray for patience and understanding. Forever missing you Michael. 💗

Janet Jackson made a statement when the Control album came out. Independence from her father and her siblings was the best way for janet to go into a different direction. I did what my father said and let my mother mold me but that was long ago now I'm in Control.

Funny how Joe claims that if Janet listened to him shell be as big as Michael, ironically the reason Michael became bigger is because he broke away from Joe.

He was not a caricature to this fans. It was the media that portrayed him that way! Amazing how the media was always trying to box him in and define him! The fans never allowed that to continue!
