You did a nice job with the 1650 getting it back up and running, I agree with you on the plugs and wires. Good to see it's back running, enjoyed watching the sadness of the sick sixteen. Have a nice day Ross!

Watch those rain caps from tractor supply lol. I’ve been finding that the pivot hinge nut on that bolt is loose and will walk off and fall off and the bolt them falls out and the rain cap will then just fall apart. Don’t know why this is happening, but it used to never happen! We’ve had to drill through the bolt behind the nut in a pinch and cotter pin it so it can’t come part again. But all they need to do is put a lock nut on that and it’d be good.

Ross, I believe you would be right somebody wouldn't be happy if after you did a repair and it broke down shortly afterwards because you didn't do spark plugs. Thanks Michael

Ross, you sure are a handy feller to have around when trouble comes.

We always did a valve reset after we got it warmed up, with the engine running. That took away all chances of something not being seated properly. It was always the time for a head bolt retorque if the head had been off. Just our preference.
