Honestly, I agree. Every other weapon felt incredibly weak without any color chips or hacks, so early game was always a struggle... Except with Splattershot. The fact that even a giga nerfed Splattershot still feels like a solid weapon should say enough about how strong it is.

@@squiddu With no hacks to boost their stats. In their purest, most basic form, with no hacks or color chips, the weapons are basically the multiplayer versions, but with all their stats nerfed significantly. So, less range, slower fire rate, slower charge for weapons with charges, and less damage and paint. This makes most weapons feel absolutely awful, but even with all these nerfs, Splattershot still feels solid, which is what I was talking about.

The most fun I’ve had with this is running big man’s pallet because you get so much bomb spam. You can throw not one, not two, but FIVE splat bombs before being out of ink. If you also stack mobile special recharge and tri strike, you can absolutely obliterate anything that gets in your way.

I honestly found Splattershot pretty middle of the road after doing a couple dozen clears. It's... fine. It doesn't ever break the game like the charger, splatling, bucket, brush... but it has the benefit of being straightforward since you just hold the ZR button and it keeps firing.

I honestly hope the turbine tower is them testing out a possible rework of Tower Control. I've thought for a while now that TC would benefit from only having to be NEAR the tower instead of actually standing on it like a lot of other games, but I wasn't sure how that would work in a game where every mode is symmetrical. Having to fill the tower with your team's ink to make it move would be a good solution, essentially making it a moving splat zone.

14:36 isn't it crazy they changes every nearly single sound effect, even swimming and inking, and the cutscenes have diffrent lighting and most weapons have diffrent kits so much little things are changed, they really didn't have to do that, esp after splatoon 3's campaign that re-used so much even a full on level from OE god i love this dlc

Bro, I was warned about it, and played so safe. I took a risk when I thought one more hit would be enough, and the tentacle attack launched me off, took my armor, and i couldn't run. Then, on my 1st run after beating it, that's exactly what happened to me to. I thought I was out of range, literally blown off again, floated to the starting point we dropped in from, and still died.
