Yep. I would. I would try to buy it with the curved trigger though if I could... but at-least you can buy the curved trigger for $30 and don't have to spend a lot on an aftermarket "custom" trigger. When I bought a P320 for a friend, we ended up having to buy a curved trigger to replace the flat one. I just think the flat triggers are all uncomfortable. (being wide with sharp corners). I like "straight" triggers, but just not FLAT triggers. (a straight trigger has a curve that you can wrap your finger around and isn't flat and wide like a board).

Some people like flat triggers and some like curved. I personally like flat or very slightly curved. The stock P365 trigger curve is more aggressive than I would like. I find that I'm more consistent with a flat trigger, but I can manage with a curved trigger if I have to.

No safety, no flat trigger is my preference. I carry the P365 daily, and I really enjoy the stock curved trigger, with mine breaking at around 4.5 lbs. I won't be "upgrading" to a flatty any time soon.

@@andershilmo1866 no I prefer sig triggers 99% of the time compared to glock. The p365 is horrible. There is no break or wall when you're pulling it. I've tried both and like the factory curved trigger better, as it keeps my finger centered and away from being pinched at the bottom of it and the trigger guard. I did add a Wilson Combat XL grip module with tungsten weights and fiber optic sights and it's now like carry sized race gun with a 5lb trigger pull.

I just swapped my curved trigger on my standard P365 to match the flat trigger on my XL. Same accuracy, pull, etc. No difference at all other than the simple feel of it. I wanted the same or nearly the same feel across the platform no matter which one I carry. However I will say this…the flat trigger offers a bit more predictability. You know EXACTLY where it breaks. The curved trigger always surprised me a little. Again no difference in accuracy for me

I have to say I do carry my P365 everyday. That being said with all the issues they had early on I’m definitely not changing anything on mine because I’ve never had a single issue with it. I run flat triggers on all my Glock’s and love them but this one also looks set way forward.

Not to "flat." Standard stock trigger. I do not plan on using a carry pistol for competition match shooting so I don't need to put in a better aftermarket trigger. Its a striker fired pistol designed for close range. Its trigger is not meant for accurate longer distance shooting. If I want to shoot longer distances with better accuracy then a full size DA/SA or SAO hammer duty or service pistol that has a better stock trigger. I have a P365MS also. My manual safety works just fine. If its a striker fired pistol with a light SA first pull trigger then for me its got to have a manual safety. That trigger can get snagged on something you were not expecting. I don't need a safety on my DA/SA hammer pistols. I use a Kusiak leather holster. The pistol is quiet going in and coming out. Plastic holsters are noisy going in and coming out. If they padded the inside to quiet them I might consider one.
@MDpolo
@MDpolo 5 жыл бұрын
For me, the flat trigger for my P365 was simply a matter of comfort. Of course it is not a target or competition pistol. My trigger pull feels more natural with the flat-faced trigger than it did on the original P365 trigger. That’s all. Thanks for watching!

If you don't like the safety you can easily remove it with just a $35 non safety grip module. If your comfortable enough to swap a trigger I am sure you are comfortable in the simple removal of the factory safety as it doesn't change anything in how the gun works. The safety and non safety models are identical besides 3 added parts that come right off (and needing a non safety grip module to have no holes where safety was)

I bought the Gray Guns P365 grip module as well but passed on the straight trigger. On my carry pistols, I tend to stay away from mods that can be used against me in court if I am involved in a self defense shooting. While experienced shooters like us might know that a straight trigger does nothing to reduce trigger pull, a overly-zealous prosecutor might paint the picture that you added this modification to make the trigger more responsive (i.e. "hair trigger"). Keep in mind that the jury will most likely be composed of people that know nothing about guns and will be easily led down the path by the prosecutor.
@MDpolo
@MDpolo 5 жыл бұрын
You make some valid points Joe. However, I have heard both sides of this argument. The other side is that you’d be hard pressed to find judicial precedent where someone has actually been found guilty on a self-defense shooting due to a mod on the pistol used. Of course the wise path is to leave carry pistols as they came from the factory and totally avoid opening this door, and I agree with you on that. I just have not found legal precedent where it has actually happened. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. I appreciate it!

A couple of things to consider. 1. Sig Sauer will void your warranty if you don't have an authorized Sig Sauer gunsmith install it. 2. There may be liability issues if you are ever involved in a shooting, justified or not. This applies to any carry gun you decide to carry if you modify it from factory specifications. .
@MDpolo
@MDpolo 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. Regarding your item number 1, you are correct. Regarding item number 2, I have spoken to a trial lawyer, a District Attorney and a retired Federal Judge and not one of them could find case law or precedent where modifying a carry pistol became a problem in a justified self-defense case. Having said that, I am not an attorney, I am not telling anybody what to do and I’m not giving legal advice. Thank you very much for watching!

@@MDpolo All I said was you might consider this possibility. I am not challenging you. I am sure you are technically correct about case law etc. However, If you notice, lawyers never say "...this is absolutely true or this is absolutely false." In a trial, there is always the "X" Factor with a jury. Politically motivated DA's sometimes use dirty tricks, withhold evidence, etc. I have also spoken with police officers and attorney's about this matter. They all advise a very conservatiive approach in carrying or using a weapon for any purpose. One of them being to not modify firearms used for personal protection and not to use ammunition that is out of the ordinary, like armour piercing or other specialized sabot expanding etc. which could be construed negatively, implying that the person was intending or anticipating shooting someone etc. Just something to consider. I did enjoy your explanation about triggers though. You helped me understand about curved vs flat triggers and why people want to swap them out etc. Cheers.

I would have to agree with many, I myself took a long period of time to finally trust the P365, I carried a M&P Shield 1.O for years and had 0 malfunctions with it. . . Yes I said zero, and the 1st Series or 1.0 was never famous for the triggers. . .but I could trust that gun to go bang every single time. Which brings me to say I personally would never change or modify my carry in any way with the exception of sights, because I can tell you when the SHTF in almost any situation of having to pull your carry gun the legalities involved justified or not will cost you dearly in defending your situation, and if you modified your carry especially your trigger you are doomed. . . So personally I would never change out the trigger on my "Carry Gun". . Peace

Vedder and Winthrop both make a safety holster in LEather and full kydex to exacting specifications. I am a Extremist on holsters that not only wear well but can lock the weapon in place 100 PERCENT:) and these both look excellent for quality. The winthrop is leather only and does not offer locking and both can be HIGH ride and cant also!

So I got the Sig flat trigger and I was wondering if I’d need to get a different holster since I’m using the SIG Blackpoint holster? It has an indent for the curved trigger, wondering if it would interfere or something?
@MDpolo

It shouldn’t. Normally the holster secures around the trigger guard and never touch the trigger show itself.

Geez, all that video, and never did you put a trigger pull guage on the different triggers. The curved trigger will tend to have shooters position their finger in the middle of the curve versus the flat trigger where shooter can pick the middle, or move farther down for better leverage hence less pull weight. Where other reviewers have tested pull weight, it was reduced by 12 oz for the flat trigger: 5 lb 12 oz down to 5 lb. Maybe you can't tell the difference, but I sure can tell that a 12 oz bottle of some drink isn't nothing for weight. Come on. You say "Is it worth it". Well, seems your review doesn't address pull weight at all, and that is important when comparing triggers.

That is correct. I decided to give it a second chance since I really liked the pistol. But the new ones have a born on date of 2019 and have been flawless so far. I did have a couple of mag issues recently, but Sig took care of that right away. I have a video on this coming up shortly. Thank you very much for watching her for taking the time to comment.

+Grumman 777 - some people don’t believe in replacing factory triggers and that’s OK. Others believe that it is OK to replace the factory trigger and “upgrade” it if needed as long as you are using parts from a reputable manufacturer with a proven track record of reliability. The choice is up to you. Thanks for watching.

Does your Phalanx holster fit both of your P365's - one with the safety, and one without? I wonder if the model with the safety requires a different holster? Thank you.

I would like to correct my prior response to you. As it turns out, I tried out the safety version of the P365 in a different holster. As I mentioned it was not a perfect fit but it worked. I started to second-guess my answer to you so I took my Phalanx holster to the gun shop and tried it there with a safety version of the P365 and it does NOT work. My holster has the medium sweat guard and it interferes with the safety. My guess is that the holster with no sweat guard will help.

+daniel hoover so i learned something new today thanks to you. I reached out to my contact at Sig and this was the response: “In the past we have labeled 320 and 365's as a double action striker fired system. It is almost like its own action type since it is different than a true single action and a true double action. We simply label this action type as striker fired now instead of labeling it double or single.” This is directly from Sig Sauer.
@danielk0106
@danielk0106 4 жыл бұрын
@@MDpolo That's what someone else had said. I have always believed that Single Action and Double Action is an actual Action and that Hammer Fired and Striker Fired were the types of firing mechanisms used to fire the gun. I 'm even more confused now. Maybe they're like Glock and should call it Safe Action System. AKA Half cocked. LOL
