Thanks Marcus - I'm a long-time fan of resistance training but after taking time off to complete my first marathon, I needed a prompt to 'recalibrate' and get back into the weight room, focusing on the basic principles again and not getting too caught up in the details. This video has come at just the right time.

That’s great feedback. Jump into my body comp persist program and this will get you on the right path for sure

Thank you Marcus for all your experiences I'm now learning about. I have been out of the gym for over a decade and then some. I'm getting into the age I can feel broken down and feeling not as strong as I once was. I will follow your videos and apply them , my main problems are consistency and dedication which I aim to make a priority now.

Start with one aspect of consistency and build from there. Remember to take it one day at a time.

This is great information. I have a bad habit of rushing through my reps, so I’ll try to slow it down.

Another fabulous video my brother! Great information but even more so very well explained and demonstrated with a lot of clarity! Any good teacher not only has valuable information to share but is also gifted at presenting it in a format that is easily accessible you excel at both thanks again!

Supersets … gym etiquette. Calling dibs on multiple pieces of equipment. Sure you can work in but that’s still an inconvenience. Much better if you’re supersetting using the sane piece of equipment - dips/pull-ups station. Bench press and barbell row using the same barbell, etc.

Marcus, you are so refreshing and amazing and I am SO GLAD I found you and your content!!! I am having a hard time deciding which of your programs to purchase though. I'm wondering what the main differences are between Persist, Functional Body Composition, and Aerobic Bodybuilder? My main desire and need in a program is progressive strength training, along with metcon/conditioning, and core work. Please help a sister out!!! Thanks so much for all you do!!! ❤❤

Great information, thank you! What is your recommended prescription tempo for focusing specifically on developing speed strength?
@marcusfilly3 жыл бұрын
Speed strength is all about fast concentric and minimizing eccentric loading For squats it might look like 00X1

I like doing upper lower splits like bench press and dead lift for example, do you think that it's more effective to keep it either upper lift splits only and lower lift splits only or its ok to mix upper lower?
@marcusfilly3 жыл бұрын
I do not think it is more or less beneficial. Both options can work and I like to change it up periodically
