Actually I'm the total opposite. I said YES to everything from junk food to hard drugs from the age of 13 until I was about 31. I moved around the world and just did whatever the fuck I wanted and lived in the moment, at weekends you're lucky if I got home before 5am. I was rich with memories and experiences but I was broke financially and was pretty out of shape. I actually like going to bed early and waking up feeling normal now. But you're right, definitely experience a lift away from just fitness and strict regimes, that's no way to live

So to get shredded you dont need to do cardio, all you need to do is do weighted cardio.... great advice

Also saying "i tried this so you doing have to" is a terrible thing to say. Everyone is different. WOMEN are different and that seems to be the diet that most women thrive on based on the general observation. I don't know any women absolutely thriving on carbs.

I prefer the fat fuel. I have nothing but horrible reactions to eating any kind of carbs. Fruit, grains, doesn't matter. They make me lethargic and flare up inflammation in my arms so i can't workout without pain. I eat a lot of butter and animal fats. Butter in my coffee and with my steaks even if it's a fatty cut of meat. Lots of eggs. Best my gut and body have ever felt in my life.

I struggled building muscle, I did everything by the book, 10-20 sets close or to failure per muscle, 4-5 meals a day with at least 30g protein each, 4-5 training sessions per week, and all I did I got really sick from overtraining. Now I do 1-2 sets per muscle per 5-8 days, I don’t even count calories I eat a shit ton of carbs (especially sugars) and my body put extreme amounts of muscle

As a nutritionist and personal trainer here's what you need! Your Daily intake of nutrients should consist of: CARBS = 45-65% (1g = 4 kilocalories) Fats = 10-35% (1g = 9 Kilocalories) Protein = 10-35% (1g = 4 Kilocalories) Protein is .8g per pound of IDEAL bodyweight. Not actual bodyweight!

My dad had been focused on staying ripped and athletic until he turned 55, and he finally started to listen to me and his wife that he should enjoy life a little. Not having abs at 60 is still weird to him, but atleast hes enjoying life.

I'm 41. People think I'm 28. Muscular. Decent size (People think I lift weights but I've done only kettlebells for the last 3-4yrs). Nice visible abs and fairly lean. Sometimes I get asked if I do steroids. 41 is much less forgiving when it comes to neglecting sleep and diet. But you ca look great even into your 50's
