Singer reaction to Kristin Chenoweth FINAL PERFORMANCE of "For Good" in Wicked with Idina Menzel

I was 10 at this performance so my memory is a little foggy, but you have no idea the amount of tears shed during this performance. It was such a beautiful moment between two best friends, on and off stage

Kristin was leaving, so was Joel Grey and Norbert Leo Butz. In the show she cried a few times, there’s clips of it. Idina was leaving around the next year. And ended up leaving a bit earlier, during the scene after this. She fell and broke her ribs. The trapdoor was opened too early and she didn’t know and stepped on a now opened space on stage. Though Idina opened the show in London and got to play Elphaba again. In a way to get to close her chapter with it. From what I remember of the interviews she did at the time. Saw her in London and she was phenomenal.

If I remember, (for the same performance) in the One short day song, at the beginning Kristin and Idina had such a hard time finishing that Idina just straight up, says, “Stay with me, I’m going to miss you.” They both lose it at Kristin says, “Let’s go shopping.”

from what i've heard the entire show (July 18, 2004) was extremely emotionally but honestly that makes the show 10x better it makes it more real.
