40:53 I think this was my breaking point. The last 4 were flagrant but if you squint upside down with impared vision and are drunk you can at least see where the connection is drawn. In *what world* is Maple Treeway in anyway comparable to Airship Fortress. It *can't* be because of the cannon because 1. They're at opposite ends of their respective tracks and 2. That would mean *every* track with a cannon has a "similar vibe" so what else is there that connects them? We have relaxing maple tree and dangerous battle ship. Those are 2 entirely different vibes that do not have any overlap. There is no "vibe" being carried over. There's nothing, quite literally nothing. I don't think I've ever been so frustratingly confused at a Mario Kart take.

I think what he's trying to say (keep in mind, I'm being very charitable) is that he would've preferred a track based off of Yoshi Story or Woolly World but still that's judging a track purely based off what it isn't instead of what it does do which was be a track based off *Yoshi's Island.* If Hyrule Circuit based itself off Ocarina of Time, I'm not gonna wonder why it isn't in the Toon aesthetic.

funnily enough i do also consider moonview as turnpike mixed with ridge, the thing is i think the turnpike sections (long straights, but with dash panels here) mixed with the slow cars is the issue in moonview here (with the ridge section being the portion outside the city with lots of bends), and i consider ridge a good track here

New York Minute doesn't even enter the subway, just a garage (there are underground ones in Manhattan, but none that are particularly iconic, whereas the subway is a staple). Central Park isn't that close to Times Square (even Rush 2 -- a very different sort of racing game -- put some distance between 42nd Street and Central Park, which starts at 59th Street), the lone bus is supposedly a tourist bus with a roof on the upper deck (few -- if any -- tour buses in NYC are like that, and most buses are either bog-standard transit buses or coaches for express routes between Lower or Midtown Manhattan and one of NYC's other boroughs), and there's no hint of anything outside of Midtown beyond Central Park itself. Even as a joke, I _really_ don't appreciate that bit about Daisy when bringing up Daisy Circuit. Don't even get me started on how he used Waluigi as justification for his placement of his top track when Waluigi's most notable appearance outside of Mario Kart, Mario Party, or one of several sports was a Dance Dance Revolution installment (remember that one?), and he wasn't even playable in it. How many people even remember Home Circuit is a thing? If DK Mountain should be compared to anything, it's DK Summit. They share more structural overlap than the tracks they were compared to.

ok... with all due respect and by no means am i trying to hate on macro for his opinions, but i really need to say some things that i pointed out that no one else seem to catch. So, read this with caution (but pls understand i respect his opinions, as wacky as they are) 1. The Mario Kart racism. If you are gonna compare Waluigi Pinball and Waluigi Stadium because they're both Waluigi Tracks, or Boo Lake and Twisted Mansion because they are both spooky tracks, etc. would you not agree with me in saying they have a general theme to be compared to? BUT! Comparing MOUNT WARIO and DK SUMMIT/SNOWBOARD CROSS... not because they are ice tracks... but because they are ''snowboarding maps''... what. Mount Wario has the olympic section at the end, not the whole track, and i'd say DKS is more of a ski resort than olypic track, so why such the specific theme for these 2 tracks? If you compared DK Mountain to DKS because they look kind of similar, i would get that more... THAN COMPARING ROCKS TO F-ING PINBALLS LIKE WHAT IS BRO COOKING??? 2. 8's RR and Wii's RR This one confused me, not because of how closely placed they are, but his reasoning for disliking these tracks. He said 8 was better as a space theme which is very agreeable, as some people might like more rainbow in their road. Me personally, i liked how they tried smth new, but would agree on wanting a Lunar Colony-type track as it's own thing. however, he said Wii RR's wasnt as magical as he hoped it would be: ''It's pretty basic.'' ...
