I just started skating again at 32 after a 15 year break. We never had skateparks when I started. These videos have helped me advance faster than I ever did before. I can still grind whenever I want but now I am feeling more comfortable on ramps and I'm able to use the whole park. Thank you Daniel! Shout out from Colorado, USA!

Really getting into these tutorials. I just started skating at the age of 44, spent many years mountain biking and this is the first new sport I've really taken a liking to. Had my first try on skates last week, fell down like a 100 times but can't wait to get back on it, once my body has recovered!!

You break down every technique very very clearly for anyone who is just starting aggressive, including every step, and always keeping on mind factors like fear and specific challenges that make new things scary and difficult for beginners, and giving truly useful tips to overcome them. Honestly I think you're one of the best teachers around. I too am surprised you don't have a lot more subscribers. They will come 😉 Thanks a lot!

Amazing videos !!! So detailed and we can feel your passion for this sport too ! It really motivates me ! Say, I'm a 28 years old man, I didn't practice inline skating (aggressive) in 15 years, and even then I really wasn't that good because I was too scared to attempt a lot of things. I really want to become really good, like good enough to just go into any skatepark and be able to do whatever I want (without the tricks being world champion tricks), but for example, I'd love to be able to finally have that "flying" feeling when going into a giant half pipe !!!! I never managed to do that yet I've always dreamt of doing it. If I practice everyday, will I make it ? Thanks !!! And keep up your awesome videos !!

Also, how can I overcome the fear ...?
@skamidanen
@skamidanen 5 жыл бұрын
Hey for sure, I myself started aggressive inline with 26 years. The secret to overcome fear is practicing. Become as confident as you can with the things and tricks you're already be able to do. When you are scared doing a trick or drop in any ramp try to think about which steps could help to overcome your fear. Do not think about the final trick, but think about all the small steps and excercises which can be helpful to overcome your fear. In the following video I tell a little story about that. I know it's not a short video, but I'm sure it will help you to improve your skating skills: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJTWaoyQq5yJp5I

@skamidanen
@skamidanen 7 жыл бұрын
Do you mean inline skates with for wheels on each skate? If so, yes it is possible! It's a little bit more difficult, because it needs a better balance to stall without any groove, but it's possible for sure! 🙂✌ However only grinding would be very hard using a setup without any grind groove.

Dan, I’m having trouble trying to stall, I keep riding over the coping. How do I stop that?
@skamidanen
@skamidanen 4 жыл бұрын
Try to bend you knees deeper, also when you skate up the ramp/pipe. When stalling lean backwards to the pipe, not forwards to top. Imagine you wear normal shoes running to any edge, where you direclty want to jump off. When doing a stall, try to push against the coping with an angle of about 45°.

Doing backside Stall.. My tips: 1. skate until to the top, 2. keep your body always infront The cope, 3. try to get slower so you dont over drive onto over cope, 4. Turn 180 on the top.. Not before 5. Skate ramp from bottom. With knee bend and push out onto top...

@SkaMiDan Can I do this with urban skates too?
@skamidanen
@skamidanen Жыл бұрын
Yes, you can also do this with urban skates. However it is more difficult to this with urban skates because you have a less space between your middle wheels (or between your front and middle wheel on Tri-Skates). In the end it's possible with both kind of skates, but it's easier with aggressive skates. :) www.skamidan.com/produkt-kategorie/skateshop/inline-skating/inline-skates/aggressive-inline-skates/

I found it easier to begin to put down only one fot on the coping on the front side stal Then it wasnt that hard to put down the other foot. Then after that it was easier to "land" directly on two feet. The transition, the Gap didnt get that wide, Roger?
@skamidanen

Hey this is also a good way to learn the frontside, as well as any other stall with both feet. When stalling, the wider the gap between your feet, the easier to balance. ✌
