AThis was the very first video I watched when I started out in the world of digital art. It both inspired me to get Sketchbook and to improve my technique. I have really grown in my art, both digital and conventional as a result. Every time I want to get back to basics I return to this video that has come to mean so much to me. Thank You Trent and God Bless You. Lol

I use a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and with its pen and this program, I have definitely taken my art to a different level. The pen on the Surface Pro 4 is very precise and I would recommend anyone who is serious about drawing and painting into getting one of these laptops, I absolutely love mine and it was definitely created with the artist in mind. I am so glad I found this Program, it is simple to use (easier than Photoshop and Illustrator) but it packs a punch. Hopefully, there will be more tutorial videos uploaded soon, I really want to keep the progress I have made and take it to a whole new level, so thank you for this video.

Hello Trent, Loved the tutorial. I knew 5 minutes in that I was going to subscribe to your channel. I am new to digital and to be honest pretty new to drawing. But I want to learn. Loved the analogy about the gym. Anyway, I bought a Wacom Intruos ART and couldn't get it to work correctly with the Bundled Software Corel 5 Essentials, so I went in search of other software and Found Sketchbook. I didn't want to just dive in and stumble along and I found this vid. Fantastic! I will be back for more.

Hey I am not big on leaving comments but I must say you are very inspiring. I work in advertising and I didn't think I even wanted to know anything other that photoshop and what it has to offer. Funny I came across this video and I have one of those touchscreen lenovo machines so I'm kind of experimenting and learning with a stylus right on the screen and not on a wacom device, but I guess my point is to say thank you for this and your other videos. You do a good job dude, you're a good teacher, and you don't sound like a 'know-it-all' dick when you speak-a problem many of us need a cure for. Keep up the good work. I'll definitely suggest others to use your videos as lessons that actually are fun to watch, doesn't unnecessarily make anything sound like rocket science and the fact that you encourage viewers to "just enjoy it and have fun with it" is like a breath of fresh air. Peace

So Astropad basically looks like it only caters to Mac users. Being that said, why wouldn't I just draw the projects on Sketchbook locally on the iPad - why do I even need to interface with the computer again? Especially if I'm not using any Mac software? Just needing some clarification here.
