I suspect that's why Alien Isolation didn't sell as well as it should of. Too many people were, understandably, sceptical and unwilling to pay full price for what could of been another let down. And dying right at the end of a mission and having to start over was immensely frustrating. That said, the game was what a game should be: FUN. Despite all its problems, the underlying gameplay loop was a lot of fun and made me want to keep playing or jump back in. Got my copy early and I'm really enjoying playing this game, there are some niggles that need polishing but so far it's been great. Nice review 👍

It's nice playing this game less than a year later and seeing pretty much all the bugs mentioned have been cleaned out. Hoping this game has a good dev life.

Interesting to hear your take on the level design, ACG said it's pretty much the wosrt thing about it and kills any desire he has to replay it due to it being so uninspired and boring.

I can imagine the the production being mess under the whole Disney acquisition and such. Had a bit of a hunch of Fireteam originally meant to being some sort of a larger game, later being told by the Mouse to gather finished parts into a L4D clone, but it looks surprising solid regardless.

I just jumped into this game recently, so I know they have added stuff, but I feel like there are a TON of weapons. One of the best features of the game.

I love your new format of "I recommend" or "I don't recommend" for game reviews. It feels much more "real" in that you acknowledge entertainment bias and substitute a review score with a simple "I'd tell my friends it's worth playing" or "I wouldn't tell my friends about it" metric. Good call. Keep up the good work!

Dude...! I don't care if you don't ever get to read this, but I need to get it out of my chest. Your videos are amazing, PERIOD. To the point that you make me wish for more games to come out (even if I don't care about playing them myself) just so that I can enjoy more of your videos. Specially games that you like, since you sparkle so much joy when you talk about them. I've followed you since your Nier Automata review 4 years ago or something like that, no need to mention I agreed with every single second of that review. If there is a "correct" way of making review videos... You got it right my friend. Thank you for existing and putting such good videos out for us. Editor, you too. The transition between the 2 of you was seamlessly for me which is always great. Just... thanks bro

Hey I rock the DMR in the final stage did over 400k damage with incinerator combo mixing attachments and class skills to increase the Twilight V.4 fire rate over 3.0 and playing as the Gunner whenever a big alien came popping the Gunner special skill to increase the guns fire rate even faster turning it into a M2 Browning and focusing on hitting weak spots making it even crazier

A 2080TI having issues running Medium in 1080p is a problem considering the vast majority of gamers have cards well below this. As much as I love the Aliens franchise, not having a proper single player mode is a pass for me.

If a person can't determine if they want this game based on the information given between a SkillUp and ACG review, then that person has no idea what they wanted in the first place and they probably wear velcro shoes.

@blahorgaslisk77633 жыл бұрын
From what I can see the only thing the deluxe edition adds are a bunch of skins. Is that really worth paying for in a game that's all about shooting waves of bugs? Honest question as I've never understood the whole skin thing in action games...

Fans of Alien 2 will love that Game. In the best moments the " that was close " Situations and the Sound and Music of the Original Movie brings me back the Atmo of this awesome scene in Alien 2, where this Marine Troop are confused and the beeping Radar is full of Enemy spoting Points but they cant see them bla bla bla ^^ you know what i mean. Nice Alien-Marine Slaughtery, i need that RifleGun Sound for my Doorbell :P.

Wow, ACG roasted this game. Interesting.
@oplawlz3 жыл бұрын
Looking at the gameplay videos I'm more inclined to agree with ACG on this one. Watching gameplay without commentary shows the gunplay to have little weight or impact, and there is no question the set design is super uninspired and repetitive.
@sauliusvekteris5263 жыл бұрын
@@oplawlz Sure sure.....show worst level locations and call it a day huh? Somehow skill up showed a lot more interesting locations. Man ACG is beyound hypocrite and over hes supid glasses cant see much further

If you enjoy Left 4 Dead, or World War Z, then you'll definitely like this game. It's not a game that tries to reinvent the wheel, but what it does, it does very well, which is It's gunplay and Alien killing.

I played the first mission with Xcloud on my phone and had to just buy the game (found it for 9.99). Playing on such a small screen wasn’t doing it justice and the fact I love the first two movies and Isolation so much, I figured why the hell not.

This game looks like something that should run 1440p/60 without issue on that 2070. Whenever new powerful hardware is released devs seem to take it as a sign to stop optimizing their games because (very few) people can brute force them to run acceptably.
