Couldn’t agree more when you said “I think the best schools are the ones that hold you accountable and are also reasonable with a given time frame “ I’ll write that down as a quote from you and come back to it when I don’t feel like doing smth.. The only thing I disagree with is limiting yourself to 1000 jumps per day. You will start to plateau quickly. You should always push to do more each day or increase the intensity/time. Just doing 1000 jumps is really limiting your progress. Still really good on you bro. I'm getting ready to start my 30 day challenge once my jump rope gets here from Amazon. I'm in horrible shape. My body is shaped like a microwaved jumbo marshmallow. I'm trying to look like a Greek God so I got a bit of jumping to do

the editing around the 3:00 mark is really good. Simple but effective how you used three clips in one screen.

DAMN. Nice commitment to the challenge. I woulda given up (I hate cardio lmao)! Great job man! I think we both know you don't really lose that much weight just from cardio alone haha. I'm sure your overall body comp definitely changed for sure. You look way more shredded at the end of the challenge compared to the beginning!

Ello Bro! Yea I still kept up with my regular resistance training and cleaned up diet a bit. I think it was that added on calories burned that put me at that sweet spot of a total deficit.

I know this post is a year old, but 1000 jumps of jumping rope isn't enough to burn a lot of calories. I can do that in about 6 and a half minutes and it only equates to about 80 calories. If you do 10,000 a day that's when you start losing weight. I didn't start lifting weights until I lost 100 pounds and all I did was run and jump rope everyday for 6 months. Cardio along with getting your nutrition in check will certainly help you lose weight.

Nice transformation!! CrossRope is one of the best ropes out there. Try getting yourself a rubber fitness mat to protect your ropes. Will last longer 💪 🕺🎶➰

Bring elbows back with arms close to the ribs, wrist should be slightly in front of you near your waist. Watch boxers jump rope, doing it with your arms out to the side will effect your progress in the future, as you are shortening the rope. Pulling elbows back allows the rope to whip around and gives you more rope to work with. Rush athletics is a good example

@@DanielKaganov yeah I made these changes myself as I used to jump with my arms out to the side as well and have gotten loads better, it’s increased my skill by a lot. Good luck!

So I’m on the my third day did you incorporate any rest days or is it solely 30 days nonstop ? My legs are sore rn but I’m about to finish my third day right now. Use the 1/4 rope it’s so fun too

I did 30 days nonstop but certainly I would not recommend powering through what could be an injury. If it is just general fatigue / soreness hopefully after the first couple weeks your body starts to an adapt. Keep it up!!

I got shin splints so I have to take a day or two off to recover. They can turn into fractures if not careful.

Also, up the intensity with tricks and by challenging yourself to go faster. A set amount of skips is not a great way to lose weight, instead getting out and going til you can’t anymore will increase agility, endurance and stamina while burning fat.

Hahaha so I buy crew socks and then fold them once over themselves to get in between quarter length and crew. Strange thing I do 😂

Could you share the rope that you use there? It seems so strong even though you mostly trained on a paved surface Anyway great 💪 (usually i make 30-40 minutes each one for 2 times at week, but, mentally, it is very difficult to do it every day like you)

You need to learn to double unders. It burns more calories. More exhausting too

Yep! At first a bit longer but as I got faster and built up endurance sometimes even 7-8min

My speed increased as I got better so for each 100 reps I could do in 40ish seconds at one point and could finish all 1000 in ~10-15min

Never work through intense pain. Rest and light stretching but still working out other muscle groups is the way to go. If it's a slight discomfort however it could be just due to being untrained and may require a few more sessions to get over.

Counting jumps is so tedious. Why not just jump for a certain amount of time instead. That would leave your mind free to actually enjoy it?

It's not good, you shouldn't stretch out your arms, but bend them and bring your elbows to the body as much as you can, turn the rope with your upper arm and wrist, not with the whole length of your arm like you do, look how Floyd Mayweather jumps. This is well-intentioned advice, I'm just waiting for them to write me comments, record yourself jumping, then show us that you can do better, then I'll really have to do it. :D
