Well actually Mjoll managed to crawl her way back on her own. She collapsed as she reached the surface. Maybe Aerin was a healer within the Imperial Legion. Could explain his inexperience with weapons and wealth and the fact, that he was able to nurse Mjoll back to health. Just a theory... I mean... she almost died out there.... he must have been with an imperial scouting party or something, but obviously he was somehow able to bring her back to life from the brink of death and take her all the way back to Riften. It wasn't Falk Firebeard who said the sentence about Potema and her lineage, it was Styrr, the Priest of Arkay in Solitude. Falk Firebeard suggests, that Solitude would have fallen to a resurrected Potema, that he shudders at the thought. PS: There are recorded lines, that Sybill will get very frightened and furious, when she's the one talked to first during the beginning of The Wolf Queen Awakened. Quote (UESP) "When you approached her, she would have asked: "What did you do in Wolfskull cave?!" You could then reply by choosing one of the three options: Who are you? "I'm Sybille Stentor, court mage of Solitude, and according to my scrying you've managed to unleash Potema herself!" I stopped some Necromancers from summoning Potema. "You weren't nearly as successful as you think, fool. According to my scrying the Wolf Queen has returned." I'm here to speak to Falk. "Listen you impudent cur. According to my scrying something happened at Wolfskull Cave that returned Potema to this world." "

@mancamiatipoola3 жыл бұрын
Well there is a tiny problem with your proposition: she is a mad old spirit from 2000 years ago. The only way to bring her forth into the land of the living would be to have her occupy some poor sap through possession and that would invalidate her claim. Whoever she would occupy would NOT have the blood of Akatosh running through their veins since the last true heir of the Septim bloodline died in the Oblivion crisis times. The blood is kinda the thing, since it holds a tiny bit of the DNA and energy of Akatosh. This is why the pendant can only be worn by a true DNA relative of the Septims as the gem itself reacts to the DNA/energy of the wearer. Sadly, as far as we know, the Septim bloodline is dead, unless there are some illegitimate children living somewhere on Tamriel.

On the Atmora thing, the king being depicted as a Giant isn’t actually all that strange lore wise. Some Nords used to be much larger before they split from the linage that became the modern Tamrielic Giants. My understanding is that even though they started out as redguard swords, scimitars slowly gained popularity with the pirates of Tamriel and even of Oblivion (in the case of the dremora). About the giants ( 15:20 ), in Greymoor DLC of ESO, there's a trial in the location Kyne's Aegis. There are "Sea Giants", culturally seems very nordic and with also weapons and skills (dragon totem for example). Also they are pretty inteligent, compared to the giants inland we're used to, they kinda seem like just taller and very stronger nords. Maybe this sketch is kinda canon? For example, Yandir the Butcher. He's very tall, very very strong, has weird creatures he summons with him. There are even some snake-like creatures, which reminds me of Akavir. Definitely worth to check.

About Aeryn, one time I played through Skyrim doing that radiant quest of Florentius at the Dawnguard Fort, where a vampire has kidnapped one of your friends. As it turned out, that friend was Mjoll, they had fucking taken Mjoll. So I come to the rescue, but upon entering the place, I suddenly hear some madlad drawing his dagger. I turn around, fucking Aeryn rushes past me, straight into 3 bandits - one being a mage - dagger flailing around. Let me tell you, if Aeryn was once an assassin of the Dark Brotherhood, he wasn't exactly cut out for that type of work, as he got burnt to a crisp and caught a couple blows from a two-handed sword. That guy went down FAST.

It could be that the reason the humans left Atmora in the first place was that the continent was slowly going into an ice age, leaving it uninhabitable for both humans and Dovah, and that by the time of Tiber Septim’s departure, the land had become too frozen. In an extension, it’s possible that the Forgotten Vale is part of the newly frozen Atmora, and that the Snow Elves have made the frozen hellscape into their new glacial paradise.

@@mattrogers6107 he wouldn't have had to die if he had done his job the first time; his "sacrifice" is the barest minimum recompense, and not entirely for unselfish purposes. On the other hand, Potema's ruthlessness inspired her to take action; had Potema sat on the Ruby Throne during the Great War, the result (most likely a mass deportation of souls to Oblivion worse than the Planemeld disaster) would still have been preferable to Mede's display of spinelessness.

The real question, tho: Was Potema a Dragonborn? All Septim emperors apparently were Dragonborn, since they were able to wear the Amulet of Kings and light the Dragonfires. If she wasn't, would she have had a true claim to the throne?
@jorvach98743 жыл бұрын
There are two kinds of Dragonborn, too. Saint Alessia, the first empress, was considered Dragonborn, but the general consensus is that she was a different kind than the Dragon souled, shouty Dragonborns like Tiber Septim, Miraak, The LDB and such. My belief is that the Septim dynasty were all the same kind of dragonborn as Alessia. Except Tiber, who was a "true" dragonborn. Although some theories call even that into question, saying something like he could only shout because of Wulfharth Ash-King following him around as a stormy cloud. Or something, I don't quite remember the details. Talos' life and even his true identity is very much shrouded in myth...
@Hydman842 жыл бұрын
In oblivion I believe they use the term Dragon blood more instead of dragonborn because their blood line is linked to Akatosh not necessarily shouting and absorbing souls.

Tiber Septim is a Breton from Highrock. This is well established in the lore. His hometown is Alcaire and his birth name was Hijalti Early-Beard. I like to believe Erine is just some really rich, lonely weirdo who grew an obsession with Mjoll after hearing stories about her tales from travels across Tamriel. So he began stalking her, following her into the Dwemer ruin. There he injured her with maybe firing a dwemer arrow at her from the shadows only to than “rescue” her in hopes that he could win her love. However Mjoll instead decided to focus her efforts on riften and its corruption, explaining why he’s trying to talk Mjoll out of it when you first meet the two. Erine doesn’t interact with the player much because he’s jealous that Mjoll is relating to the player. After you gain Mjoll as a follower, anytime you tell her to leave she’ll begin heading back to riften, where suddenly Erine will appear and join her on her way back, clearly having been stalking Mjoll and the player (yes I know he only appears because he’s scripted to follow Mjoll when she’s not in service but this is a good in-game explanation)

Keep in mind that the Brinehammer is one of several wrecked ships along the coast, and redguards are supposed to be the greatest sailors in all of Tamriel, so I think the small boat is an escape vessel, most likely from the Brinehammer, that washed ashore with its occupant(s) died either at sea or when a big wave deposited it where the Dragonborn finds it.
