Honestly, Astrid is a fucking moron, like she could have attempted the same thing (kill the Dragonborn after they kill the decoy Emperor), without revealing to Maro where the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary was and how to get into it. Like really she ordered the death of his son, and from the letter to his son you can find Maro really cared about his son, so Astrid was really stupid for believing that he would forgive the Dark Brotherhood for that.

Astrid breaks every single Tenet of the Brotherhood except maybe one: Don't dishonor the Night Mother, broken a thousand and a one times; don't betray the secrets of the brotherhood to the outsiders, she reveals the grand plan to an enemy of the Brotherhood; don't refuse orders from your superiors, the Night Mother and her Dragonborn Listener are her superiors, yet she refuses to accept their authority; don't attempt to kill another member, she tries to get the Listener killed; don't steal the possessions of other members, this is the only one she doesn't break. Any of tye actions listed above would be enough to have her executed in the old days of the Brotherhood. Also I'm not buying the argument she did it for the good of the family, she did it because she was accustomed to having absolute authority over the Brotherhood and didn't want to give any of it to the Night Mother and the Listener. Hell, she almost admits it when she's dying, she says something on the lines of "I wanted things to return to how they were before Cicero arrived". She might have fooled herself into thinking she did it for the greater good but in reality her reasons were selfish, if she truly were loyal she would've refused And one final proof of her betrayal: if you summon Lucien in the Sanctuary, he says the sanctuary should be Purified, meaning every single member should be killed to root out traitors; even Lucien, who's connected to Sithis in the afterlife, thinks she's a traitor

There isn't an argonian in the thieves guild as far as I'm aware, I think you mean the Dark Brotherhood argonian. Though to answer your question it's the one that gives you the job to shut down the lighthouse.

Minerva Nightingale Serana is tagged as essential, so I mean she can't die...she made a useful meat shield for a dragon who happened to knock her health so low that she looked like she was dead for 5-10 real life minutes. I even have screenshots on my Switch version to prove it.

Aeladya I know Serana is essential. The “meat shield” use of her fades out if you play a save file for as long as I do, because she caps at level 50. Eventually things start hitting so hard that she can’t take it well. At least, I’d assume- I usually swap her for Frea at the first given opportunity.
