Great half stories by Slash, before they were interrupted

Exactly, Howard can be so rude sometimes. Now, if it was Pat Monahan he would be hanging onto his every word…🙄

People need to understand Slash is a ridiculously gifted dude. He dominated the skater/BMX scene in LA as a young teen. Then he discovered guitar and was brilliant within a year or so. the guy just oozes talent.

I wish Stern would actually let Slash speak. He interrupts him in the middle of every response to ask another question. 🤦🏻‍♂️

What a life. Slash is one of my Top 5 favorite guitar players. He writes great parts - both riffs and solos. Catchy…

Amazing that MJ respected Slash to the point that he would tell him "do whatever you want" and then leave. Cause I'm pretty sure MJ was a perfectionist freak and typically very hands on and involved in all aspects of his music and performances.

Slash’s story is the outlier. True, you don’t need school to be a rock star but to be the traditional “working musician” it can be very beneficial.

Totally agree- Howard’s older interviews are maddening to listen to (this one is from ‘07). Thankfully he’s gotten a good deal better about that in the last 5-8 years or so. I always figured he did it because every DJ lives in fear of “dead air;” so Howard was overcompensating by firing questions before his guest could even finish.

I've listened to Guns and Roses since I was 13 (30 years). I've seen GnR four times. I always knew Slash was Awesome. I saw him with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators in 2019. He just plays nonstop for 15-20 min each song.
