Man you channel is growing fast. Honestly you have the best all around knowledge and information on spraying in all situations. None of those temp controlled booths, or down drafts....Just real spray work with real spray problems and real solutions without the fancy stuff. Even using cheaper guns to show it can always be done. Those Porphis guns seem to be a great high end option for the diy or backyard shop guy.

I used this gun for the first time last weekend. It sprayed sealer, waterborne base coat, and 4:1 clear coat beautifully. Finish was smooth as glass without any cut and buff. It’s a great little gun!

I like mini guns now....I hardly ever used one until recently. Man you can stretch a 1/4 pint of base with one of those suckers. Just wet bed with 2 coats of Blending clear.....and with solvent base dust on a couple coats with the mini and you use almost no materials. Blend out and your good. I just use 2 coats of the wet bed for sand scratch fill.

@@thetriggerman954 Yea the .8 just has too small a fan. I use a .8 to paint ATM surrounds. Because there is like no overspray. Whatever leaves that immediate areas is just dust and wont stick to anything. I am going to hit them up for one of these to try. the 1.0 is perfect if the fan is big.

@@thetriggerman954 yeah it works well. I usually use it outside of the booth in a finished boat on the line where everyone is working. It’s a pain. You have to have a filter and fan set up. Low pressure so people aren’t breathing it.

@@jasonsummers1085 it's basically just a transparent base coat. It fills in any scratches that are left during your prep. It also helps allow your metallics to land evenly. Good for metallic blends. And you're more than welcome man. Anytime 😊

Hey Frank thanks man I appreciate it. I have my prepper to sand the blend panels with 800 then a 3M soft superfine pad. The pads have different levels make sure to get "superfine" it works great for clear coat. It will spray metallics but they don't seem to fall where they should. If doing a corner or some type of an edge I'll use the 1.0 for that for something directly in the middle of a panel I go for a 1.2 on a minigun. That has been my experience with them you'll always see some type of a little halo because the metallics just didn't land the way they should

@thetriggerman954 I was looking and the porphis dosen't offer the 1.2or 1.3 tips for there mini gun but was curious about if you tried the atom x16 mini gun it rants it's like iwata and they have the 1.2,1.3,1.4 for it but the cap has less air port? If you have one would like to see an 2 guns 1 cup on the two to see what's better quality cause there same price range lol if you don't have one im trying to request the company send one over for review 😉

It's always good to see my man Trigger back in the lab👌my good friend (who I won't mention on here😁😉) has got the Porphis mini gun and he really likes it but I haven't tried one as yet, I used my PRD-717 for the first time today for basecoat and it laid it down really nice at around 22psi I can't remember what psi you used for base and clear with this gun Trigger🤔 The WS400 did a nice job on the clearcoat it gave you a nice finish👏I like my Series2 it's a great clear gun👌🙏👍John UK

I've heard that you should always seal over 2k primer because once you sand the primer it becomes porous. So you sealing little spots and saying it's ready to paint is not the correct way. From what I've seen on KZbin.
