Thank you! I've made this recipe for my family and co-workers. Cooking this at night on high, refrigeration, and 4 hours of reheating on low seemed to taste just as good.

If you have a Salad Shooter it makes all the slices even and thin. Does in no time. You have to slice the potatoes in half for them to fit in the Shooter.

Have you ever doubled the recipe and cooked it in the crockpot and for how long?

Looks amazing. I love scalloped potatoes. My mom used to make it with white sauce rather than cream. She used Aunt Penny’s White Sauce, available in some supermarkets. Or you can Google it and find which stores carry it. Also it you have some leftover ham it takes these potatoes to a whole other level.

I love the recipes but you all use way too many salty things. Check the sodium on your ingredients

Cooking this now. It won’t be ready for about 3 more hours. My mom made hers with Aunt Penny’s white sauce and cheddar cheese in the oven, uncovering it for the last 15 minutes to let it brown, but slow cookers rock. Looking forward to trying it.
