Being an oldie myself this was pure magic. The transformation was so impressive. Great video Danny and congratulations to your "student" for getting the message so quickly and transforming his swing so quickly. You are the tops Danny and I hope to see more of this for Seniors all over. I am a transformer from a variety of You Tube swings and have now settled into a swing from your videos which is taking me backwards to how I initially was taught to swing which is basically how you now teach. My diversion from the norm was basically due to Covid and boredom so I tried many other You Tube teachers but I now feel more comfortable playing as I always did which is basically the way you teach. Thanks for all your videos, especially those for senior players, which I am sure will keep me going for a few years more. I feel indebted to you.

Wow what an improvement in one lesson. Great work Danny he must be over the moon. It must be a great feeling to have the power to really make an impact on people's lives. I know golf is just a game but for some of us it really is a life saver. I've come through some difficult years and at times golf has been the only thing that I have had to look forward to. When you then go and play poorly its a real kick in the stomach. Thankfully life is on the up and in largely thanks to you so is my golf. Shot my best round ever Monday. Great video Danny. I only stumbled on your channel via golf mates a few weeks back. I watched a lessson you did with driver just doing very short swings to get the feel of hitting up on the ball and hiting centre face. Then slowly increase the back swing length. I did that drill last week at a range session and today as pre play warm up. Very happy to report I only missed two fairways today and consistantly longer than the last couple of years. I'm 62 so happy with that. Also a mate who knows my swing and is a tidy 6 marker said he has never seen me drive so smoothly, so accurately and so far. Thanks Danny.

Every shot was a glancing over the top ending in a weak slice. I suddenly couldn't hit my seven iron over 120 yards. Was ready to give up golf and I watched this video today. Worked on the barbell drill for about five minutes and the reverse grip drill and went to the course. Started hitting everything perfectly straight. Loss of concentration cost me a couple doubles but I shot an easy 81. I could not believe it. It was like a light was switched on. Thanks Danny you are the best.

Absolutely the missing link, particularly with the dumbbell exercise. I cant believe the difference this is making. It simplified the action of the right hand and arm. Now I am not even considering my left hand. Just going through the motions with a light dumbbell is also training the hand feeling. This feeling of having a dumbbell in the hand when holding the club and moving it as Danny describes has transformed by my idea of how the right hand should work.

I've played 4 rounds of golf since I've gotten into it, and your videos have been an enormous help, so thank you very much. I'm working on it club by club, my iron game is ok, I can hit them straight most of the time and sometimes pull a cracker out of the bag, my tee shots with a driver on the other hand were awful, but little by little and tip by tip from you, they're coming along quite nicely, there's just so much to think about until it becomes natural, the correct grip, the up and down as well as side to side of shoulders and hips, the knee movements, keeping the left arm straight, the drawback angle, making sure the wrist moves up instead of flicking, not moving the butt too far forward, the angle of release, the shoulder tilt, ball position, club head angle🤯🤯

After not having a lesson for a few weeks and falling apart at the range I've just watched this video and visualising the dumbell with my right hand seems like it'll work for me to keep my swing inside. I’ve done the same process with chronic slicers with similar results. Things I’ve found to be very effective in reprogramming their CONSCIOUS belief of how a swing works are: 1) Pose them in the position everything is when club head is an inch past releasing compressed ball off face of club square to target (not initial impact with the back of the ball) with hips open 45° shoulders lagging and back near parallel, spine with side bend to right and trail shoulder back not spun forward so trail arm can extend in the finish. That gives them an understanding of the goal is. 2) Move their arms, hands and club head to the ideal, club head outside hands extension position in the take away, the point the wrists cock themselves due to the takeaway force not being able to move backwards due to resistance from body. Then I hold on to the club head and pull them in the direction of the swing force, ALWAYS pulling them off their feet the first time and usual two or three more times before their conscious and subconscious brains both understand that: A) This guy is going to keep pulling until I keep my balance, and; 2) oh it’s like tug of war with the club! I need to brace on my back leg against it. That drill gets them swinging back with enough force to keep the lead arm straight and get the automatic wrist cock and effortless turn of shoulders and lifting of club to ideal position at the top. 3) Repeat the same drill for the finish extension making them realize the trail shoulder needs to become the axis of rotation and the trail arm the straight lever arm in the finish. After drill #2 is pretty much just showing them the ‘waypoints’ in 3D space the back shoulder, hands and club need to be at the point the club force has pulled trail arm straight and wrist will again cock due to the laws of physics not conscious action. 4) After they start doing the mechanics correctly explain why it works as it does: In terms of mechanics and physics a golf swing is very much like a Trebuchet in that an underlying goal of the backswing to the top is to tightly pin the MASS of the lead arm across the chest and the action of dragging chest and arm down with the firing of the hips is to keep it pinned there until the shoulders turn back to parallel and that massive arm flies off the chest down and forward towards target when hips meet resistance (if back foot is still grounded) to target dragging and whipping the the club head around the hands much like the projectile in the sling of a Trebuchet whips around its lever arm. That explains where the power a pro has comes from - not from swinging the body in circle faster and dragging club head through ball but by slowing down the hands as the shoulders come back parallel so the pinned lead arm mass flies off and club head whip down around the hands and accelerate to the ball, the same physics which cause an unbelted car passenger flies forward through the windscreen in a car crash. Hogan learned that physics lesson the hard way, then brilliantly applied it to his post accident swing. The mechanics to make those laws of physics happen are to be more like chopping down on a horizontal log with an axe letting gravity whip it down around the hands with wrist action, not sweeping ball up off the ground with a broom which is the concept most with poor, weak swings have. Once a person is convinced INTELLECTUALLY you have shown them a better way, and the key waypoints for to get there their SUBCONSCIOUS brains very quickly learn to execute the new plan. Convincing of the need to change is the most difficult part 😂

Thanks Danny for another excellent video. I have been following you for a while now and your instruction is superbly explained and your efforts in respect of the senior golfer are first class. I have been working on your hit it easier to hit it further video for a while now and it is beginning to get grooved in so much so that 7 of my last 9 scores are all counting in terms of WHS and my Handicap has returned to pre covid levels down from 22.8 just 2-3 months ago to 18.9 my lowest for some years. This video seems to be an extension of the one I refer to above and the proper turn of the torso has helped me hit many more fairways, I still need to work more on my Iron Approach play accuracy, but I have really noticed the much better more consistent contact I am getting with every shot I hit with the proper body movement. As you said in this video it also gives me something to go back to mid-round when the wheels are in danger of falling off. I continue to spread the word and really must consider becoming one of your patreon subscribers. Your manner of teaching is excellent and I just wish the Dartford Crossing wasn't a necessary obstacle in paying you a visit! 😀Keep up the great work.👍👍
