I had never heard of that halo belt before, thanks for showing it off! Also, you can use gimbal mode to scrape easier without having to turn your whole ship.

These two ships together (with an X1 as a "snub ship" for solo play to bring two ships) is exactly what I had planned for my main gameplay loop back in Nov of last year when the Zeus was announced. Took a year but now I can finally do it, and both with amazing paint jobs (last year's best in show and this year's Halloween).

The org i used to run with would run a salvage operation every Saturday, it would be 6 of us in vultures with two cargo haulers and one guy in a fighter running around looking for panels as well as protecting the vultures from threats. It was good fun... I should get back into large group salvage...

I find using the gimbals on the salvage beams make the experience even more relaxing. Zip around to face the panel, enter gimbal mode and simply paint, no reason to move your whole ship constantly. :)

Have the same problem with the multi tool. Max lift still works for me. For ship tractor beams, there’s a keybind that swaps the control. Don’t remember if it’s the vjoy or gimbal…or something like that. Makes the ship mounted beams so much more useful than any other method.

honestly, I kinda wish that the Vulture could have either a button to purge trace amounts of material from the hopper, or else just had a separate hopper for CMATs so that you don't end up with a tiny amount of CMATs keeping you from having a full hopper of RMC

So a trick to fix that multi-tool issue ... use customize to equip it and if its not working, then go back into customize and select the tractor again. I have noticed that if I change attachments I have to select them using customize twice. You can't just select it twice in customize, but need to select then close then open customize then select again. Then it should work! :D

I'd love to see Vulture crews using an Ironclad as a carrier coming in and cleaning up after massive spacebattles. It'd be such a cool way to make money, reclaiming all of the leftover parts that have blasted off of ships.

I am glad this is now "working." Last time I tried something similar, any box moved out of the Vulture was considered stolen and we were forced to sell it for even less at grim hex or something. What I want to figure out now is how to use the Reclaimer in a similar fashion, so I can avoid landing it at all cost, its still my biggest complaint about that ship.

The multi tool in micro tech can’t do tractor beam related tasks. I thought multitools didn’t work as initially my home base was NB. Once I got to the Hurston system, the multitools there miraculously worked. Have this bug in 3.23 and 3.24. Last week I confirmed my suspicions as it didn’t work again at port tressler or new Babbage.

everytime im out with my Vulture I wish I had a buddy with me and my freelancer max. I know you dont use Gimbal mode when scraping but to anyone planing on doing something like this, I recommed scraping in Gimbal so the 2nd person can line up the cargo ship and just offload in the back as the boxes come out

Great Video! This has been my life in the verse lately and I quite enjoy seeing the money grow with little to no worries. Compared to mining I'm running into a lot less bugs. Question though, sometimes I have come up on random ships left out there. Would it be safe to destroy said ships and scrape em? Are these players left ships possibly? So far it's been C2's I keep finding, but they aren't crashed or anything.

I ran into the tractor beam bug as well, easy solution is "craft a Multi-tool and Tractor Beam attachment in your vulture", I don't know a fix for the party member icon not showing but have experienced the same

okey here is an idea: rather then spitting out individual boxes we increase the cargo grid of the vulture to 16 SCU (very easy) and then have the vulture spit the RMCO directly into a 16 SCU store all container. Imagine how obscenely amazing that would go with a Hull A.

But it has been a while since I have done some salvaging, so could you perhaps make a vid on how to set up and use the vulture with the aprade modules on, I know how to start them up by pressing M, but how to change, so you do not move the whole ship around but only the modules, and how you on the new mfd can see when you scan and hit a for example 10k marker.....have been looking on the mfd like crazy but cannot see it like on the old mfds Thank you in advance! easiest way to use this duo is is to use zeus as a combat ship. do the low level ship to ship combat missions and then call in the vulture to salvage the ships you just killed and mrts work very or LRTS work for this best effect is when the mission is in space and not on the planets

You can pretty safely get away with doing VHRT's with the zeus, so you can get some decent quant and other "goods" from the cargo of the ships and then get A LOT of RMC from the hulls themselves

The multi-tool appears to not work for me either. Instead of using any of the ones in my storage, I bought a new beam attachment and a new mutli-tool with no luck. Thankfully, the big boy still works.

Im not able to fit 128 boxes into the Zeus. I cant get a box at the top row to fit as i cant get it any higher and the boxes are too close to fit it in. so i end up 7 boxes short of 128 SCU.

These cargo ships tractor beams are awful and so impractical. Given that they are bespoken and their use is to load the cargo, they should be able to grab boxes in a grid and carry them into another grid area, so for example, grabbing the whole 2x3x2 boxes inside the Vulture in one go and straight into the Zeus in the same pattern. Different bespoken tractor beams of different sizes would differ in the ability of carrying bigger grids of boxes. Having to do it 1 by 1 is honestly insane and it would never find practical use in a read industrial setting.
