The Most Underrated Soul Food Side dish. Smothered Squash
Hey Loves! When it comes to Southern Sides this recipe is in my Top 5. It’s not only easy to make but it takes a few ingredients and it’s absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to hear what you think and share with someone who would love this.
Serves 6
1 large Sweet Onion Sliced
2 medium Squash
4 tbsp of Vegan Butter
1 tbsp of Red House Seasoning
1 tsp of vegan Chicken Bouillon
Melt vegan butter over medium- High heat. Add onions and Squash. Season and cover for 7- 10 mins. Depending on the softness you like. Serve over Rice and enjoy

That's southern cooking. My mom used to cook this a lot when I was little. I now cook it, sometimes I add zucchini. Try it Queen...both ways are delicious ❤😊

I grew up eating this! We didn’t put it on rice, though. We just ate it straight. I haven’t had it since my dad passed away years ago. (I’ve made summer squash since, just on its own without the onion. It really is amazing how just one more ingredient - the onion - makes it taste so different!) I need to make it properly, because I crave it a lot. It’s so nostalgic for me. 🩷

I love yellow squash but they have to give up their lives to feed us 🥺 I wonder what God has to say about that "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;" 1 Timothy 4:1 "Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;" 1 Timothy 4:2 "Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth." 1 Timothy 4:3 Vegan doctrine is a doctrine of devils. I love veggies but do not be mislead about the vegan movement. They are finding folks with mental brain deficiencies who practices this for many years. We have an aunt suffering many years with I’ll timers she lived this life with exercise sound good vegan organic food etc. just one example Do your research. I would eat this recipe but not the constant vegan push out😀
