Looking back i think the main reason my parents bought us a Colecovision was because of this game. For as big as the Smurfs were there very few toys and games produced. Coleco definitely hit a home run with this game. Coleco also released a great port of this to the Atari 2600.

Great review/play through. Peyo (from British Father and Belgian mother) is the creator of the Smurfs - there actually were cartoons and comics all around in the 80's. In 1958 the first comic was created.

i remember smurfing the smurf out of this game. I smurfing loved my smurfing Colecovision. it was smurfy. Seriously though. I was only about 7 or 8 when we got our Colecovision and Atari. I had this game and remember loving it because I got to play as one of my favorite cartoon characters...lol

Oh man... the review SteveBenway does for this game is priceless... if you haven't checked it out , do yourself a favor, it's a good laugh. Some nice background on what made you get the game. I always like hearing about stuff like that. Puts everyone's gaming history in perspective.
