Love how your videos are to the point. No fillers or unnecessary side talk.

I remember playing with snapdragons as a kid. My son loves them, and now that I know they aren't toxic like I was led to believe as a child, he has his own patch to make "talk" to each other.

Snapdragons are so pretty in the garden and bouquets. I live in zone 10b SoCal so I usually grow group 3-4 (Potomac, opus, Cannes, madame butterfly) and can keep them growing through July (light shade cloth). I find using BT helps keep the flowers pristine and no surprise bugs in my bouquets. The lavender, cherry rose, cherry bronze, deep orange and appleblossom are my favorites. I’m going to try group 2-3 in the fall-early winter bridge period although starting seeds in summer is 🥵.

Awesome video!! I have a flat of snaps now in my greenhouse waiting to go outside. Didn't know about cutting the tops out to help them bush out more and make more flowers. Doing that today!! AND here in Missouri zone 6b I am starting the hardening off process as well!!

Gorgeous! I'm also in Arizona and I start all of my seeds outside in October, outside can I direct sow Snapdragons?
@GrowingInTheGarden
@GrowingInTheGarden 3 ай бұрын
You could try - seeds are tiny, but not hard to grow. Trick will be getting them to germinate in October when it's still hot and dry. If you try it let me know how it goes.

Mine reseeded and grew every year diligently to the point I did not want them anymore. But last year a mystery happened and none has come up this spring 😢 I have to start all over again.
