WHAT'S UP TEAM!:) Had this footage from Bodypower, sorry the Audio isn't great but I thought he gave away so many awesome tips/tricks that it would have been a shame to waste. Did my best with there Subtitles. Hope it helps, I learnt a lot from watching him go through this (especially about the quads and how important they are). Happy lifting. #STRONGESTTEAMONKZbin Craig

TeamRICHEY Дмитрий Клоков is good enough like a trainer and like a methodist. You should look at his YT channel. Now he shooting one project "Рывкачи" [ryvkachi] what means something in the middle of SnatchMasters and SnatchLovers. there is no eng subtitles but this is how i watch your entire vlog))) and all of speeches is quite intuitive. There is some more tips for snatch))

It was great if you could subtitle the hole thing because my english is at klokov lvl... if i could read i would understand better. Top video.

Klokov has improved his English a lot in last years. Nice to see him speaking directly without an interpreter.

Holy hell, so many knowledge bombs dropped here. Klokok is pretty brutal on the commentary, but honest and straight to the point, and his English has massively improved.

Klokov yes!!! so glad you went their to his seminar, here is real knowledge, the knowledge comes from the raw sport, hence CrossFit is separated into categories of Olympic style movements like Olympic lifting or rowing and running, you get knowledge from the Olympians who do that sport solely if you want to maximize your performance in that arena. P.S this is not a hate on CrossFit just saying this is were real knowledge is... I love CrossFit.

Good point about thinking about the quads, the hamstring will work anyway. Will try this tomorrow with a bit of snatch practice.

I started out with Klokov "Russian" technique. Normally weightlifters here tend to jump and have a wider leg position than Klokov...no knees out. Its fun to see how different countries use different techniques.

I just started CrossFit a couple months ago and I’m still kinda crap at the Olympic lifts. I’ve gotten advice from people like Clarence Kennedy and Alan Thrall, but it’s good to see a beast like Klokov give free advice too. I’m gonna take what I’ve learned from all 3, mix and match, and see what works for me.

Is it common in the Russian School of thought to advocate for banging the bar on the pubic bone? Quite surprised by Klokov advocating this as it tends to be extremely painful when it happens. Other coaches will say the bar should hit between the pubic bone and the top of the hip crease (which is what I normally do). What's your contact point on the snatch?
@ir0n25415 жыл бұрын
the way i see it, if it makes that distinct sound on contact... then it's in the right place. it's like when you swing the golf club and hit the ball dead center and you hear that perfect ding sound. that's when you know that you have transfered maximal energy effeciantly from the one object to another.

Most vids show the technique of doing power snatch with a start position of a deadlift, but Klokov explains that you start with the toes out. is this a personal preference thing or ...?
@jasonx793676 жыл бұрын
Alain Cheng if you have some mobility problem, it helps a lot to have the toes out and to keep a flat foot on the ground!
