Have they offered to lift a finger or give you a dime to help you?? Guess not!! Time to leave the past and step into reality girl - because the past doesn't matter anymore!! Diane, if you want to take people's money, you need to provide them with a service. That service should come with a welcoming attitude. You will find that if you engage with your guests, you will learn so much about life and the world. Your guests are real, with real life experiences and if you engage with them, they will happily share their amazing experiences with you.

I read somewhere that she is not a daughter, but rather a granddaughter who showed up with a young baby and Diane felt obligated to help them. The BNB was opened in order for the granddaughter to make a living so she could raise her children without draining Diane's retirement account. Sadly, the BNB was never Diane's original intention. She worked her entire life in order to retire in peace and quiet. I think the majority of Tabitha's show is embellished and scripted.

the classism of the owner is appalling. Saying she only associates with the 'big-shots' and not the 'lowly' (what she makes it sound like) guests who are the sole reason she's not worse off and more in debt. She doesn't deserve the help, as she can't be taught to be a decent, considerate person. edit: pretty glad to see that their website says that it closed.

"I envisioned my bed and breakfast to be industry centered but my average guest has a typical dull middle american life" - did I hear that right? Did she just call her guests peasants? So they should be fine with dirty beds and rotten fruits I guess. She´d rather be out socializing in Hollywood...She thinks she´s Joan Crawford just because she was employed by a newspaper for some years ages ago?!! House is not even hers with 800.000 in dept! Loved the comparison to Baby Jane by the way!

Dude, she talks about her guests like they're peasants and she's doing them a favor by letting them stay in her castle. Her idea of a "Hollywood experience" is getting to breathe in the same air as someone who USED to be someone in Hollywood, and USED to be in touch with all the celebrities and the Hollywood scene. She is offering Holywood "by proxy" at best.
