Uhhmm i was out there with bait boats on my rig. I was tuna fishing qnd they were too. The bait got pushed up by the tuna and forced into the shallows. I drifted with them from 28 fathoms all the way to 7 . The tuna gave been feeding on the higher spots because of the squid there and being so easy to catch. Take a look at south bite right now. Average depth of fishing is no more than 60-65 fathoms...?? Squid son! 18:30 18:30 18:30 18:30 18:30

Thanks again. I agree about the NW winds , they are our predominant winds but does seem like they have been a bit more frisky than past summers, when we catch a break with some calmer afternoons, idk maybe my days that I actually got out where just the windier days.

October those NW winds die down typically and you get glass off afternoons with dry air, just apparently not this year. Havent seen coastal fog in October that I can remember.

Jeff. I was at same area as you past weekend. (2.75 on Cortez) But we did go Cortes all by ourselves but no big boys there. Came back with babies (15 to 35lbs). Argh….

The numbers at Clemente are low because no one is fishing it. They're all out offshore trying to catch tuna and Dorado.

@@ChasingPelagics I got me a 7" and 9" malolo models from garrett. Only used them once...on some dolphins, but nobody home (turns out 2 weeks too soon...lol)
