The gun is actually mounted pointing a few degrees down as the recoil is so strong that when the gun fires, it actually lifts the nose of the plane slightly and its that lifting of the nose that actually brings the gun to line up with what the pilot is sighting.

This is not true. The main gun is mounted slightly to the port side of the fuselage so the firing barrel is perfectly lined up to the center and slightly below the plane's center of gravity.. There is no downward angle.

It can lose an engine, half of one wing and a quarter of the other wing as well as one of the twin tails and still fly back to base. And that's not even hyperbole. That shit happened in real life.

At top tier it's fun to see all of 'em come in. Though when 90% of your team is SPAA and absolutely prepared for it.... they don't fare so well. 70% of German 8.7 teams at the moment are Bagleitpanzers. It's a slaughter if the A-10s don't know how to use AGM-65s properly.

It doesn't take much to break the lock on a maverick. Smoke up and move 10 feet, your safe. Just gotta be paying attention. At least you can see the a10, the ka50s are a much sneakier issue, and that stupid missle they shoot kills planes, tanks and other choppers.

i think the default key is ALT+C, my game is in spanish so maybe the translation is not accurate: Navigation----> weaponry----> target lock (Air-to-Ground) . You will see a green dot that you must align with the target.

I played a game in 10.0 Germany on American Desert earlier today. I spawned into my Leo 2A4, capped C cap, got a kill, and died. I figured, why the hell not, take out the FlakRakPz to see what happens (I carry a full lineup, not just the 2A4 + SPAA). 6 SAM kills, all of which were A-10s. The A-10 truly is food for SPAA. You have to make sure to either climb as soon as you spawn in or get really low and fast to avoid those radar pings. Air superiority is key with the A-10, and it cannot reliably obtain that on its own.

The A10 is op in ARB because its slow and maneuverable and fights planes with no flares that cant escape the 9L. The most terrifying thing is when they put Russia and US together with SU25s and A10s.

A-10 does pretty well in RB when you have good Intel from team. You can fly low really comfortably and brake maneuvers for turning to aim are a dream. Speed is it's only issue in my eyes. And really bad countermeasures.

I think I should say for people who don't know, but the A-4E's cockpit seems to be bugged as it seems to lag the game HARD. So be careful when you use it, since I know people like to take it with the A-10

Well the sidewinders are actually really good especially in ground rb where missiles aren't highlighted to the enemy. Stukas don't really have that great of an anti air loadout where the a-10 at least has a bit going for it there.

I enjoy the a-10 especially in sim. I’ve been able to grind around 175,000 silver lions in 15 minutes. I bombed two bases and shot down 3 enemy aircraft.
