I work part time for H&R Block our founder Mr. Henry Block was in navigator on a B-17 and in his book. He talked about his first day in England. The sergeant took him to his bunk. He said you’re sleeping here. Mr. Block said looks like somebody it already is the sergeant said there was yesterday welcome to the war.

Got the watch one takeoff once in Boca Raton. It does send a chill down your spine and it’s such a recognizable plane.

@@llucky_lukee yes, I am planning a few more videos. I’ll also touch on some of the more overlooked (yet still beautiful) soundtracks from MotA as well during future uploads 🙂

I’d love to see a video with “Soar” but with the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, since it’s one of my favorite World War II aircraft, if possible 🇺🇸😎.

P-47? A controversial choice my friend, Vs the Mustang the Thunderbolt has been neglected and forgotten.
@RobDunk227 ай бұрын
@@DonWan47I still think it would be cool though to see the P-47 Thunderbolt in a video like this with “Soar” playing, I do like the P-51 Mustang as well. But yeah, the P-47 does get overshadowed by the P-51 for sure.

@@RobDunk22 a very muscular aircraft, it screamed brute force vs the elegance of the P-51D. That huge radial engine was like a massive boxing glove.
@Haz0052-tu7rr4 ай бұрын
@@RobDunk22 To me a bit like the B-24 and B-17. The B-24 is sure neglected for the most produced military aircraft of all time (I can only think of Unbroken as a depiction of it), whilst the B-17 is infinitely more famous (Featured in Memphis Belle, Masters of Th Air, Red Tails, The War Lover etc.). Actually Bomber Command also seems fairly neglected, other than for the wrong reasons.
