For 3 3/4 to 4 cups flour, I would use 1 Tbsp baking powder and 1 1/2 tsp salt. 😊

Thank you, I have been trying different recipes for Tortillas. Trying to find the right one to keep, explaining the heat of the pan and rolling out till thin, has helped me. They look so tender and soft, any bread made with milk is tender. There is a two ingredient recipe biscuit as well, same Self-Rising Flour and you use Cream. I have those down, so good as well. Thank you

I made a mistake, I used All Purpose flour instead. Self rising would probably have puffed up more but they turned out perfect and delicious. Thanks! 🥰💕❤️ I’m going to stock up with evaporated milk so I can make these anytime! Breakfast tortillas tomorrow. Yum!

😊add baking powder to all purpose flour.....it turns into self raising flour. Thats the only difference.

I’ve haven’t tried milk. I use self rising flour and lard (crisco if I don’t have lard).

Thx for sharing your recipe. I got a recipe from a friend years ago for tortillas using self rising flour, lard and water. I wasn't aware some people used milk/ half and half/ cream. I will have to try this because they look delicious! Thx again!

Do these have a sweetness due to the evaporated milk? I know I used evaporated milk for a queso recipe once and I hated the slight sweetness it added!

You make things look so easy…….I guess I need to get some self rising flour………..and try to be exact to what you did……keep cooking I enjoy watching what you do! I love how you jump right in and sometimes experiment on the fly and it all seems to turn out, when I usually jump in I don’t make the idea again….ever…lol
