Did you use the back side of the Cason paper? I didn’t notice the texture that’s usually apparent on the front side of the paper. I love how soft the portrait is.

Soft Pastels are composed of pigment, water and a smaller amount of chalk or artificial binder. However, oil pastels are oil based.
