Running an LG 6000 BTU air conditioner on a 500-watt solar panel and an Eco-Worthy 280Ah LiFePO4 battery setup is an intriguing challenge in maximizing energy efficiency and harnessing renewable energy sources. To accomplish this, strategic planning, careful energy management, and the utilization of energy-saving techniques are essential.
Firstly, it's important to understand the power requirements of the LG 6000 BTU air conditioner. Although it's rated at 6000 BTU, the power consumption may vary depending on factors like ambient temperature and usage settings.
With a 500-watt solar panel, you'll need to ensure optimal positioning of the panels or RV to capture maximum sunlight throughout the day.
The 280Ah LiFePO4 battery serves as the energy storage reservoir. To ensure the air conditioner can run efficiently, it's crucial to manage power usage effectively. This involves prioritizing energy-intensive tasks when solar power generation is at its peak, such as during midday. For example, you should only use the air conditioner for 2 hours during the lunch period to maximize your charging.
In conclusion, running an LG 6000 BTU air conditioner on a 500-watt solar panel and a 280Ah LiFePO4 battery requires meticulous planning, efficient energy management, and the utilization of energy-saving techniques. By implementing these strategies, it's possible to achieve sustainable and comfortable cooling while minimizing reliance on the grid.

Thanks. It took a lot of planning. I didn’t want to waste any money on this project. If I could have done one thing differently. I would have bought a 60a mppt charge controller so I would have more solar options. But I think I’m still good with what I got. I got lucky and found my renogy 40 mppt charge controller on ebay for $30.

This battery has a 200a bms so the max you can discharge at once is 2400-watts. The battery contains 3584wh of power so it would take about 1 and a half hours to completely discharge at 2400-watts. Now I'll give you my personal opinion of what this battery is good for. I think if you have one of these batteries, I would use a max of 1200-watt appliances, which means I would use only a 1200-watt pure sine inverter. But if you are chaining these batteries together then you could go much higher. I only use one of these batteries, but this battery can run everything I need it to, including my window air conditioner. I just chose appliances that stay within my wattage. I only buy appliances that are rated 1000-watt or lower. You would be surprised how many great appliances there are that only need 1000-watts. I have an entire section on my website that shows these low wattage appliances. A great example is that I have an 11 inch skillet. It is rated at 1000-watts, but it actually only uses 730-watts to cook at 350 degrees.

Did you run a capacity test on your 280ah eco worthy battery? Also what is your experience so far with the battery? Have you had any issues with the battery? Did you buy the battery from Amazon or directly from the eco worthy website? How long did it take you to receive the battery after purchase? Your next video you should show js your solar setup.

I didn’t do a capacity test. But it does run my window air conditioner really well. So far my experience is very positive. I bought the battery about 6 months ago. I just recently installed it a month ago. I bought it from Amazon. Amazon is giving discounts on it more often than the eco-worthy website. One of my next videos is going to show my entire setup. My setup contains only necessary gear. Nothing extra. Fyi. It only took about one week to get the battery.

I just installed 2 of these in my boat yesterday. I haven't done an actual capacity test but I'm curious to see if they are actually 280ah. There seem to be a bunch of manufacturer using the same case mold for 200 and 230ah, Even so, Eco-worthy was the most cost effective battery on Amazon Canada. If they do a true 280ah it will be awesome.
