Sold! farewell to our lovely little store, on to the next projects!

A bittersweet day as we say goodbye to our lovely little former shop as it goes to new owners, and we look forward to new horizons!

That old store was wonderful. When you went inside it was a whole different world. The amount of work you put into the second store and the addition was inspiring! I don’t know anyone who has worked as hard as you have these last three 1|2 years or who has accomplished so much. With all of that and acquiring new family members it must seem like a dream looking back. If it was me, I’d be dead. You however just get a new hair cut, lose a few pounds and look 10 years younger. Amazing.

@@79TEOG They remodeled a bit and opened up the back for lots more added floor space. I think it was some kind of a dilapidated living quarters in the back of the store they painted dug up all of the outside back and side yard repaired the back of the store, added a bunch of security and another building and patio area next door.

I don’t expect you will remember us as you met so many people when the store was open. Anyway, we were the older couple with English accents that came to your store a couple of times. My husband drove a large power wheelchair that he drove with his chin. I just want to say that we enjoyed meeting you and loved the store but totally understand how you have moved away from that part of your business. Sadly my husband of almost 50 years passed away this last June but I am so grateful that we had so many years together even though it was really hard work taking care of him. He really loved your store and enjoyed all your KZbin videos. I love to see the love you have for your wife and kids. Life can be short. Make sure you always enjoy every day. Onward and upward as I try to make a new life for myself.

Whoa, What a ride! I joined you just before you started the potters house. I felt like you, Melissa, and the kids, were personal family as I tuned in over the years. I've felt both joy and worry for you all al9ng the way. As I'm in my twilight years and suffering from COPD, on oxygen, and pretty much homebound, the Archbolds have ranked high in my heart's concerns, although I don't want to appear like "a nutjob fan", I thank y'all for the joy and love you have generated in my life through these years. Keith, I think Alexander's heart is too pure to be a politician! 😁 I don't feel there is anything strange about considering people on KZbin "friends". Sometimes creators will say "I love you guys" to their viewers and I think they mean it. We can love them back. It's just a different kind of relationship (obviously) than we have in real life. I don't think they would be allowed to paint over the murals unless they paint something similar on it due to its historic value. Remember why Alex had to paint another mural because the historic group over his area needed it to be there.

I can't believe how wonderful your house turned out. People are following your path. I've been watching you and learned much from you. Just before I found you they found cancer. (STAGE 4 TONSIL CANCER. HAVING to get up the fight of my life. Being a third generation Marine helped me fight everyday. I wasn't scared one bit. I figured if I got ready for the fight of my life. My beautiful wife wife helped all the way. I asked all my friends and family for thoughts and prayers. Hans was such a good hearted person, you paying it forward. Best of luck to you Brother. Hans was 1st introduced in the (camper) helping series Alex did.. Hans was living in a camper that didn’t have any electric or water. Alexander found out & help him buy a house. Alexander help 2 guys around the same time. So wonderful to see Hans- we love the whole gang.. I think Alexander & Melissa need to have a party at the new house with the whole gang and music 🎵.. Hans was introduced to us when he removed trees during the Potter's House series, which happened quite awhile before Alex fundraised to help Hans pay for propane to heat his camper. As you know, so much money was raised that he was able to buy a home.

You did a great job revitalizing the community! Both stores are beautiful. I've been watching from the start and saw the changes. A good resturant and an ice cream shop are very needed. The buildings are beautiful too. So be confident it's beautiful and this was your mission to restore and build those beautiful buildings for a better purpose than selling antiques. I think I am following you now for three years. A good friend of mine told me about you and told me because I love antique,I should check you out. You were my first KZbinr and I loved to see your adventures with your family and friends. In 2021 I almost died having been in a coma for more than 5 weeks because of Covid. They gave up on me but at the last moment my body started to fight. When I could move again I started to watch you and some other KZbinrs again. You all helped me through the most difficult two months of my life. Now I am working again and so on..and..still watching your videos.😁 I don’t know why but it was hard for me to see this episode,maybe because I could feel your pain a bit,but I was happy to see Hans again. Covid really forced things in a different direction too. With the future seeming so uncertain, the business in this format was a liability that became the potential to ruin you. You were very proactive. Im dissapointed so much collective effort & goodwill had to be abandoned, but cant deny the new house & property are pretty awe inspiring. Yeah, it was such a sweet little building, but you not only improved it, but you changed the vibe of the neighborhood. Before you came, I doubt a buyer would have seen it as anything more than a teardown. Instead you saved it and financed many of the projects that led to your beautiful new home!!! What an accomplishment. Kind of a shame to lose the passive income from the rent but knowing you as we all do, I rather suspect that you did the math and decided to move forward to the next thing. Congratulations! Oh, and you also made BIG changes in both Hans' and Josh's lives and in turn to folks in their lives. And don't forget all the old cars you saved. That impacts your community too.

I might have mentioned this before, but I read an article about how millenials don't really want thier parent's stuff, so you likely picked a good time to bail out of the shop.
