Great clear vid. I noticed at first ur movement was slightly off center n then u turned it n I was like yup 6 marker was at like 631 lol. Then u cut n i could tell immediately u set it back in perfectly.... I have noticed its kinda easy to accidentally skew it a little.. But i know once u get it back right it sets in perfect n don't "pop up". For anyone if u take it out on purpose or accidentally set it in straight n gently push it in. Then use tweesers to push in the 4 button contacts a lil 1 side at a time (ie do left 2 then right 2 or vice versa) n it will go right into place... No biggie Oh and while you're in there is a good time to make sure none of ur e rings (c/e clips)that hold the buttons in have came off the button stem lol.. If so have fun lol most time there inside so carefully look for them use Tweesers n cots and or rodico n carefully replace them.. Caution try not to let em go flying or just drop them. Shit sometimes there right in front of you n still dissappear lol there only 2mm... There's vids for replacing em.. Also if u loose em good luck finding replacements.. I contacted Casio n they sent me to the east coast n west coast center for parts and their discontinued... U can find em on ebay but all I found were from United Kingdom. U may be able to buy a set of a couple hundred of all different sizes starting at 1.5mm then 2mm then 3 n so on n hope they fit.. The kits are like t 10 bux Or better if u are missing clips n have a authorized Casio repair place save urself the headache n take it in lol Shit also the E ring (c/e clip) are all the same size among ALL casios with buttons.. So if u have a junk 1 or a cheap 20 dollar one u can scavage it for the clips 1 more tip at 419 in u see a lil spring above the S and I of Casio don't loose it... It's a HUGE Pita to find.. So careful when taking back off n turning it over whit it off. If u loose it it's not the end of the world you're watch just will not have sound

Depends on the gasket condition. If the gasket's still in good condition (and it usually is on a G-Shock), you can put a bit of silicone grease on it (it doesn't take much), seat it and it'll be fine. If you want to be really safe (or if the gasket is broken/bad condition), you could get a replacement online, lightly grease, and install it.

From this video, I've learned sighted people need this, too. The way mine is re-initialized is - press one of the buttons until you hear it spin; make sure all hands are at 12:00 position; set time zone. After each of these steps, you need to wait until hands stop spinning. The AC reset sounds like a pain in the ass to me ...

You probably put in a cheap brand of battery or an expired battery that doesn't have a full charge of 3.30 V. This would explain why some power-intense features such as the backlight are not working.

Need them no... But every watch repair person or watch modder worth his salt will wear rubber gloves or finger cots.. There is nothing worse especially when pulling the whole Movement out than accidentally getting a fingerprint on the inside of the crystal or on the face of the watch.. And although generally not needed for a battery change it doesn't hurt to keep ur greasy fingers off of all contacts no matter how Clean u are ur going to leave a print.... I don't want anything getting inside when I do watches cots or latex or whatever gloves always when working on watches............... If u don't use ur not a good watch repair person

Turn Battery over to bottom side (NEG) Touch The bottom and side of Battery with tweezers or small pliers Then put back in watch. You will know if it hasn't Recent all The numbers won't Read properly.
